Plain and simple, both of these teams are struggling on a large scale. The Flyers and the Blue Jackets have not seen goal production; they've been getting scored on here and there but they are not getting goals on a night-to-night basis. Both of these teams will want to have a solid defensive start to this hockey game and this is what lead us to the under in the 1st period here. Goal production has been few and far between and I cannont see a big start out of either club.

I have went over the stats many times on the Lakers defense when betting their totals, we all know how good they are on defense by now. This is the best defensive team in the league. They are incredibly long with 4 TOWERS on the inside (leading the league in blocks), and not to mention they are also the best team in guarding the 3, something the Pelicans like to do. The Pelicans play a fun offense and love to move the ball around, but that will be no problem for the Lakers as coach Frank Vogel has obviously implemented amazing defensive schemes to stop the drive and kick 3. Something Vogel has been known to do his whole career. Add on top that this is actually a rivalry game. Anthony Davis will be returning to NO, I am sure he will be greeted with the loudest BOO's every time he touches the ball. It is not just AD who will be playing vs his former team though, the Lakers castoffs from last season will also be looking for revenge on their former squad. Good luck. I'm sure the Lakers are somewhat familiar with the Pelicans personnel as NO will be familliar with AD's moves. Take the under here in what will be a fun, close fought game
