I like the value here with Loyola-Chicago at basically a pick'em on the road against Ball State. The There's no denying the Ramblers aren't on the same level as a couple of years ago when they made that epic Final 4 run, but they are a still a tough out under head coach Porter Moser.
As for the Cardinals, they are a middle of the pack team in the MAC and simply can't be trusted in this spot. Since James Whitford took over as head coach in 2013, Ball State has gone a miserable 16-38 ATS when listed as a home favorite and 3-12 ATS last 15 times they have been a home favorite of 3-points or less.
Moser on the other hand always seems to have Loyola playing well on the road. The Ramblers are 62-44 (58%) ATS in all road games since he took over. They are also 14-4 ATS last 18 times on the road vs a strong shooting team that is shooting 45% or better from the field.
Another thing is that while Loyola is off to a mediocre 4-4 start, they have shot the ball exceptionally well. The Ramblers are shooting 52.5% for the season and that's with them not being able to buy a 3-pointer, as they are just 29.7% from deep. Take Loyola-Chicago!Comment

NCAA-B | Coppin State vs East Carolina

Coppin State is 3-6 on the season, but the Eagles have certainly made things interesting on the road. CSU has won by four at Loyola Chicago and has had close losses of four at Pacific and by seven at Montana. They play at an extremely high pace, but aren't the most efficient offense. The team's defense can struggle from time to time, but they are holding opponents to 28.4% from long range. Their other two wins were at home over Cornell and on the road at James Madison. ECU shouldn't be favored by this much. The Pirates two wins were by 12 over VMI and by 17 vs. Evansville. At home already they've lost to Liberty with road losses at Navy, App State and JMU. They've allowed 70 or more in four of their last five as teams are shooting over 40% from long range. The team's offense just isn't consistent enough either right now.Comment

The Toronto Raptors have not missed a beat since winning the NBA title last year. They are out to prove that they can still be one of the best teams in the NBA even without Kawhi Leonard. And they’re certainly proving that thus far.
Indeed, the Raptors are 15-4 SU & 13-6 ATS in all games this season. They have one of the best home-court advantages in the NBA once again. The Raptors are 9-0 SU & 8-1 ATS at home this season, outscoring opponents by an average of 15.4 points per game.
The Miami Heat are off to a great 14-5 start themselves. But like the Raptors, they are unbeaten at 8-0 at home, compared to just 6-5 on the road. They lost by 9 at Houston, by 27 at Philadelphia, by 15 at the Lakers, by 21 at Denver and by 7 at Minnesota. So all five of their road losses have come by 7 points or more.

I'll take my chances here with the Bulls as a small road dog against the Commodores Tuesday night. I think a lot of people wrote off Buffalo after losing head coach Nate Oats to Alabama and 5 seniors from last year's 32-win team that advanced to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.
I don't think this Bulls team is going anywhere. There's a lot of talent leftover and they added some quality transfers to the mix. They have a nice win over Harvard and gave UConn all they could handle on a neutral court.
As for Vanderbilt, they are in a full on rebuild in year one under new head coach Jerry Stackhouse. They are 5-2 to start the year, but have also played the 349th ranked schedule and just lost at home to Tulsa 58-67, who is picked to finish near the bottom of the AAC. Note that Buffalo is also 5-2, yet they have played the 152nd toughest schedule. Give me the Bulls +3.5!Comment

The Tampa Bay Lightning travel to Nashville on a three-game skid, and I think their hopes of ending the slide are slim against a Nashville team that has won 13 of the last 16 meetings in the series. The Preds have been particularly dominant home at Bridgestone Arena where they've won seven of the last eight head-to-head meetings.
Additionally, we can note that Nashville was shut out in a 3-0 loss to Florida last time out. It has won four of six following a shut out defeat since the start of last season.
