Atletico Madrid need a win to secure their spot in the knockout rounds. They lead Bayer Leverkusen by a point for the 2nd spot in the group and Leverkusen has a good chance at a win at home versus Juventus who have nothing to play for having already locked up the top spot in the group.
Lokomotiv have nothing to play for in this match as they will finish bottom of the group regardless of what happens in this game and can't even play for a Europa League spot by finishing 3rd. On top of that, the Russian Premier League played their last matches for the next three months this weekend as they take an extended midseason hiatus due to the harsh winter climate in Russia. You can bet they have already mailed it in and are in break mode. Undoubtedly, this will be an opportunity for the 2nd team and less experienced players to get a run at some game time.
Setting the situation aside, Atletico should still cover just by the numbers. They won the reverse fixture on the road 2-0 outshooting Lokomotiv 19 to 11 with 8 on goal to 3. Last year, these teams met in the knockout rounds of the Europa League with Madrid advancing 8-1 on aggregate winning 3-0 at home and 5-1 away. The 3rd seed and a Europa League qualification are on the line here and I like Olympiakos at home. They were winning the reverse fixture 1-0 at halftime before a 2nd half red card did them in as they subsequently conceded three goals after going down a man. Red Star Belgrade (Crvena Zvezda) is having a good domestic campaign but are far outmatched on the European circuit. In matches against Tottenham and Bayern, Red Star lost 0-4 at home to Tottenham and 0-5 away, while losing 0-6 at home against Bayern and 0-3 away, meaning the only goals they have scored this competition came against a 10-man Olympiakos side.

Olympiakos meanwhile drew 2-2 at home against Tottenham while losing 2-4 away and lost 2-3 at home to Bayern as well as 0-2 away. Much more respectable results than Red Star. The level of talent here is much deeper on the Greece side and while Belgrade can be a tough place to play and Red Star's only real advantage, the same cannot be said for them on the road.

Madrid have nothing to play for here but even their rotated side will be good enough to win this match. Young star Luka Jovic will likely start this match and get some much needed minutes while Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Mendy, Nacho, Casemiro, Isco and Modric are all likely to get big minutes in this match. Eden Hazard is out until next year with injury, Benzema is likely to be on the bench, Ramos was left off the squad and Bale is unlikely to feature coming in off injury as they prepare for two tough La Liga matches over the next week. Still that secondary team is plenty good to control this game. Brugge will be missing Diatta and Mata due to red cards they picked up against Galatasaray.

These teams played to a surprising 2-2 draw in Madrid in the reverse fixture in a game that the hosts dominated throughout but conceded two unlikely goals and had to settle. i don't think that will be the case here in a game they will certainly control and likely win at a very good price.

As we are getting deeper into this points in the season, it has to get harder and harder for these overmatched teams to hang with top tier competition. This should be a 25+ point game. Prairie View has one guy taller than 6-6 on the roster and they shouldn't be able to hang with ASU on the boards. Arizona State has better, more explosive guards as well. They did not play well against Louisiana. And with some bigger games coming up on the horizon I think that Bobby Hurley will give them the whip here and ensure that the Sun Devils are firing on all cylinders.
