Depending on his availability tonight (and the subsequent line movement), I may have a side play in this game. The Lakers (24-4) had their seven-game winning streak snapped with that loss against the Pacers — and they have played 9 of their last 13 games Over the Total after winning four or five of their last six games. Los Angeles has also played 8 of their last 9 games Over the Total against teams with a winning record. Milwaukee (24-4) looks to come back from a 120-116 loss at home to Dallas on Monday despite being a 10-point favorite. The Bucks stay at home where they have played 9 of their last 12 home games Over the Total against teams with a winning percentage over 60% on the road. This is one of the most anticipated games of the entire NBA season. It’s the two teams with the best records in the NBA in the Los Angeles Lakers (24-4) and Milwaukee Bucks (24-4) squaring off. And when two elite teams get together, I usually look at backing the UNDER.
You know you’re going to get a great defensive effort from both teams with this being a matchup of the top two teams in the NBA. Plus, the reason these teams are so good is because they get after it defensively. The Bucks rank 1st in defensive efficiency while the Lakers are 4th in defensive efficiency.
There’s also some injuries here that will benefit the UNDER. The Bucks are without starting PG Eric Bledsoe and his 15 points per game. The Lakers are without Kyle Kuzma and his 11.1 points per game. Anthony Davis (27.4 PPG) is also questionable after sitting out last game with an ankle injury.
The UNDER is 38-15 in Lakers last 53 games following an ATS loss. The UNDER is 22-8 in Lakers last 30 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. The Lakers are 18-5 UNDER off an upset loss as a favorite over the last two seasons. Bet the UNDER in this game Thursday.

I'll gladly take my chances with the Wolfpack going into Auburn and leaving with at least a cover as a 7.5-point dog. I just feel like we are getting too good a price to pass up a play on NC State and I believe that value stems from the fact that the Tigers come in a perfect 9-0 and ranked No. 12 in the country.
I'm not about to sit here and say Auburn isn't a good team, but who have they beat? The Tigers have not played a single team from a Power 6 conference and 5 of their 9 wins have come by 10-points or less, including each of their last two. Auburn only beat St Louis by 6 last time out as a 11-point favorite and the game before barely squeaked by Furman 81-78 as a 12.5-point favorite.
NC State opened the season with an ugly loss at home to Georgia Tech, but have won 8 of their last 9 and the only loss was by 5-points to Memphis on a neutral floor. While the Wolfpack aren't ranked at the moment, this is a team many felt would end up in the Top 25 when the season started.
Let's also not overlook the fact that NC State beat Auburn 78-71 as a 2-point home dog last year. Wolfpack brought a lot back from last year's squad, while the Tigers lost 5 key pieces from their Final Four team, including three elite starters in Bryce Brown, Jared Harper and Chuma Okeke. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if NC State won outright. Give me the Wolfpack +7.5!

I love the price we get on the Montreal Canadiens when they visit the Calgary Flames Thursday night. The Habs have won four of their last five overall and they own a winning record as a road underdog this season.
Tonight they'll face a Flames team that is not playing all that great at the moment, coming off back-to-back home losses under interim coach Geoff Ward.
Additionally we can note that Montreal has been efficient on the man advantage lately (4-for-8 over the past four games) and it has won the last three in this series.

I'm confident the Clippers will cash in a win and cover at home against the Rockets. Simply put, this is too good a price to pass up with LA at home. The Clippers are 14-1 at home this season, where they are outscoring opponents by 13.4 ppg.
The Rockets are one of the league's best and that's why the spread here isn't more. However, Houston is not playing great. They are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games. They were very fortunate to win their last game at home against the Spurs, as they trailed by as many as 25.
Offensively these are two of the best teams in the NBA. Rockets are 2nd in the league at 119.7 ppg and Clippers are 5th at 115.1 ppg. The big difference between the two is on the defensive side of the ball.
LA is 12th in the NBA allowing 107.8 ppg and 3rd in opponents field goal percentage (42.7%). Houston is 23rd in points allowed at 114.3 ppg and are allowing teams to shoot 45.5% (15th) from the field.
Clippers are 6-1 ATS last 7 as a favorite, 4-0 ATS last 4 at home and 4-1 ATS lat 5 vs a team with a winning record. Take Los Angeles!
