The Knicks are 2-3 since Mike Miller took over as their head coach. One of their losses was only by six points against the Nuggets in Denver, and another was a one-point loss at home to the Pacers. For the season, they are 6-7 ATS at home while the Hawks are only 5-9 ATS on the road. The Hawks are still a mess without John Collins, so I’ll take the Knicks to win and cover given this small line.

To make matters worse, they will have to try to break the streak with J.J Redick (groin) sidelined. The Nets have continued to play well without Kyrie Irving and are 6-7 ATS on the road, so look for them to hand the Pelicans yet another loss and cover along the way.

1-Unit Play. Take #610 Chicago State (+16) over Oral Roberts (8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17)
Do we have any idea if either of these teams are any good? They both have racked up some wins against D-II competition and then fallen on their faces against any legit D-I competition that they've taken on. Oral Roberts is a 16-point favorite on the road? Why? This team isn't especially experienced or talented. And just because they have managed not to get run off the court against some really good competition that doesn't mean that they can just step on the court and run a weaker foe off of it. Their last D-II win (Central Oklahoma) was by just 12 points, and that game was at home. I don't see them getting an 18- or 20- or 24-point win here.
2-Unit Play. Take #615 Denver (+14) over Northern Colorado (9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17)
I think it is going to be hard for Northern Colorado to cover this big number in what is essentially a rivalry game. Northern Colorado has two wins over D-II teams and then a couple of wins over bottom 50 teams. I'm not impressed. Denver has played 11 games against D-I competition this year (to just seven for UNC). And while their results have been spotty, they have played tight games against teams that are better than Northern Colorado. This game won't be pretty but I do think it will be competitive.
2-Unit Play. Take #618 Stanford (-5.5) over San Francisco (9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17)
This is a solid San Francisco program and they have another pretty good team this year. However, they aren't that good and they really haven't played nor beaten anyone. Their best game was a home tilt against Arizona State, and they lost. I think it is bold to expect the Dons to go and win a true road game against a Pac-12 team that is playing well. Stanford hasn't played a great schedule either. But they have been wrecking teams. They have a win over Oklahoma on a neutral site and they nearly knocked off Butler as well. Jerod Haase may be turning a corner with this program and getting back to being competitive in the Pac-12. I think they are better than San Francisco in this spot, though, and I think they beat this line.
3-Unit Play. Take #620 New Mexico (-12) over Grand Canyon (9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17)
We hit a 7-Unit winner with New Mexico their last time out. Let's go back to the well here. I don't know why the books haven't caught on to the fact that Grand Canyon sucks this year. They have only played one road game and that was a 25-point loss. I think that this will be more of the same. Grand Canyon usually has a really nice home court advantage. Well, their last home game they got beat by 24 and of their eight losses this year four of them have come on their own court, including a loss to a D-II school. These guys aren't any good at all. The Pit is a tough venue for anyone to win in. Good teams flop in The Pit. The Lobos can really pick their own score in this one and I think that they will get this one by between 16-20 points.
