7 Unit Play. Take #519 Over 209.5 Miami at Philadelphia (7:05p.m., Wednesday December 18)
A little shocked that this total dropped 3 points overnight but I say 'Thank You'! The Miami Heat are trending 'Over' games and the Heat have cashed 5-Straight 'Over' tickets. The Heat in those 5 games their offense is averaging 117.6ppg. The Sixers get this game at home and their last home game they beat the Pelicans 116-109 and that game flew 'Over' the total. Tonight I see Miami keeping the tempo fast and I see points coming at will and this big Eastern Conference battle goes 'Over' the total. The Heat are 17-5 O/U following a ATS loss and the 76ers are 5-2 O/U following a SU loss of 10 points or more.

3-Unit Play. Take #643 DePaul (-15) over Cleveland State (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18)
DePaul can pick its score in this game. They are in the unfamiliar territory of being a massive favorite. However, I think they can handle it. This team is really good and, frankly, undervalued right now. They have a blowout road win at Iowa. And if they can go on the road and beat a good Hawkeyes team they can obliterated a terrible Cleveland State team. This CSU program is in shambles. They had to grab a new coach during the summer and then had a bunch of player defections and transfers. They've gotten blown out by 15 points at home by Toledo and by 46 by Florida International. DePaul is better than either of those teams.

3-Unit Play. Take #648 Indiana State (-9) over Tennessee State (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18)
I think this is a really strong spot for the home team. Indiana State got off to a slow start to the season, losing their first four games. However, that slow start was 100 percent because of a brutal schedule. They have lost to Dayton, Louisville and Duquesne, and the Dayton and Duquesne defeats both came by five points or less. But before the Finals Break ISU had won five straight games, including back-to-back strong efforts against North Dakota State and at Wright State. TSU is coming off its first road win of the season, holding off Fordham on Sunday. So they had to travel to NYC over the weekend, go home to Tennessee, and now head out to Terre Haute to play their third road game in three states in eight days. The Tigers haven't beaten any decent team yet. And they may be without their second leading scorer and rebounder, Jy'lan Washington, who missed the Fordham game. I see a blowout here.

2-Unit Play. Take #657 East Tennessee State (+10) over LSU (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18)
This is a deep and experienced ETSU team. ETSU has its top seven players back from a team that won 24 games last year. And they are definitely not scared of LSU. The Bucs were able to knock the rust off with a 60-point blowout over a D-II team this week while LSU hasn't played in 10 days. LSU has played a really weak schedule this year and haven't proven anything. This is still a talented team. But they are young. And this weekend they are heading out to Los Angeles to take part in a mini-tournament. East Tennessee already played at Kansas this year and lost by 12. If they can do that I think that they can keep it competitive here against the Tigers.

1-Unit Play. Take #659 Tennessee (-1.5) over Cincinnati (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18)

I think that there are major issues in this Bearcats locker room. This is still a talented team. But over the last two seasons they have lost a load of good players and, more importantly, experience. On top of that, Mick Cronin is gone and I have a feeling that star player Jarron Cumberland is butting heads with the new head man. Cincinnati has lost to any good team they have faced this year and they are OT wins against UNLV and Valpo away from being 4-6 on the year. I'll continue to play against this group until they show some signs of life.

2-Unit Play. Take #663 VCU (-4.5) over Charleston (7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18)
I don't think that Charleston is any good. They are coming off a close loss to Richmond and are now taking on a Top 25 VCU team that is legit. VCU is just 2-9 ATS so far this year so they have obviously been overvalued. But it's not as if they are some shaky, Providence-style train wreck that just can't beat a number. The Rams' only two losses this year came against Purdue and Tennessee and they were both three-point defeats. They've taken down better mid-major teams than Charleston and I think that they will be able to frustrate the Cougars here.

5-Unit Play. Take #676 Gonzaga (-12.5) over North Carolina (9 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18)
The Tar Heels are completely off the rails. This team is not good. Not good at all. And they just got significantly worse over the weekend when they lost two to injury. That includes by far their best player, Cole Anthony. Now, Gonzaga doesn't care about North Carolina's problems. This is a home game against one of the top programs in college basketball. This is a chance to get a marquee win and to get revenge for a 13-point blowout loss at Chapel Hill last year. There is no way that the Bulldogs are going to take it easy on UNC here. Gonzaga is coming off impressive back-to-back road wins, beating Washington and Arizona. Now they are back home and facing a UNC team that just lost to Wofford. Hell, this Heels team got blown out by 25 points against Ohio State AT HOME. I definitely think that they can get their doors blown off here on the road.

3-Unit Play. Take #686 Utah (+11.5) over Kentucky (11 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18)
Is Kentucky going to run Utah out of the gym? I don't think so. The Wildcats haven't left Rupp Arena since Nov. 6 and they've played eight straight home games. The Wildcats have actually played a joke of a schedule, really. And the two best mid-major teams that they have faced - Evansville and UAB - both gave the Wildcats trouble in Lexington. That 14-point win over Georgia Tech on Saturday is a bit misleading. And I think that there's a chance that this young UK team could be looking past Utah and ahead to a dance with Ohio State this weekend. Kentucky will win this game; Utah is too erratic to pull this upset. But I just think that this is too many points. I'll play the value.

1-Unit Play. Take #695 Vanderbilt (+1.5) over Loyola Chicago (6:30 p.m.)
Jerry Stackhouse is doing a pretty good job with a young team. It will be interesting to see if the Commodores have the patience to beat a disciplined Loyola team here. However, Loyola isn't any good. This team isn't anywhere near the caliber of Rambler teams from the past several seasons. They may still be better than Vandy. But I'll see if they can prove it.

3-Unit Play. Take #8450 Vermont (-3) over UNC-Greensboro (7 p.m.)
Vermont has had a bit of a frustrating start to the season. They've played a challenging schedule. And they've played tough against some very good teams like Virginia, Cincinnati and Yale. However, they haven't broken through beyond a road win at St. John's. Now UVM is back on its home court though and I think they will be up for this game. Greensboro, on the other hand, is in a pure letdown spot. They lost on a buzzer beater to in-state ACC foe N.C. State on Sunday. Now they have to travel north for this one and I think they will be dazed. And I think Vermont will take advantage.
