    DEPAUL -15.5
    DEPAUL @ CLEV. ST. | 12/18 | 7:00 PM EST
    6:24 PM
DePaul is going to win this game going away. Cleveland State is one of the worst offensive teams in the nation, averaging just 60.9 points per game. Meanwhile DePaul has rebounded nicely after losing its first game and is 7-1 ATS in its last eight games. Take the Blue Demons.

    ST. LOUIS -169
    EDMONTON @ ST. LOUIS | 12/18 | 8:30 PM EST
    6:19 PM
The Blues are playing excellent hockey right now, posting a 7-3 record in their last 10 games, and are 14-2-3 against the Western Conference. G Jordan Binnington is 11-3-3 at home with a 2.26 GAA. Meanwhile the Oilers just stopped a four-game skid and are just 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. They have dropped 12 of their last 16 in St. Louis. Blues money line (-169) is the play.

    COLORADO -147
    COLORADO @ CHICAGO | 12/18 | 8:00 PM EST
    6:03 PM
Colorado is 4-0-1 the last five meetings against Chicago, including a 7-3 beatdown nearly three weeks ago. The Avalanche are getting healthy at just the right time and are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. Meanwhile the Blackhawks have dropped seven of their last eight games against the Western Conference and are just 2-8 in their last 10 as a home dog. Avalanche money line (-147) is the play.

      6:27 PM
Coach Reggie Witherspoon and his Canisius Golden Griffins have established a much slower pace than in years past. Buffalo is coming off a deflating loss as a double-digit favorite to Army and has been struggling a bit. The Bulls are definitely missing their four graduates from a season ago. Look for a tighter matchup here with limited offense.

        The Sharp Plays

So here’s what I see for tonight. The highest LJP score on the board is a 4 on East Tennessee St +9 over LSU. I would advise a 0.50 unit play on ETSU +9. The second and third LJP scores are 76ers -8 and Anaheim/New Jersey OV5.5 (-110). Both of those games achieve LJP scores of 3. I don’t want to do rated plays on the #2 and #3 LJP scores here in the Robin Hood Club while we are in the midst of an 0-2 regression off the 6-0 Sunday. Once we get that first win then I will look to expand into rated plays on the 2nd and 3rd LJP scores on the board for the day.

Lately, the improving Bulls have had performances more reflective of their promising roster. But their 26-point collapse against the Thunder in their last outing shows they still have a ways to go. Despite having one of the NBA's best one-on-one players in Zach LaVine, this is still a touch matchup against the score-happy, no-defense Wizards. Washington got on track with a win at Detroit and should outlast the Wizards on Wednesday for another.

One of the toughest losses of the season happened to UNC Greensboro over the weekend. After clawing back to tie N.C. State the Spartans lost on a buzzer-beater from mid-court. Recovering from such a loss does not happen overnight. Vermont’s guard play will test Greensboro at times, but expect big man James Dickey to be the main difference.

The struggling Charleston Cougars have lost four of their last six. They’ll host a VCU team that Charleston upset a season ago at VCU. That was when they had a 1-2 tandem punch with current guard Grant Miller and now current NBA player Jarrell Brantley. VCU has the depth and experience to revenge last year’s loss.

The Celtics will look to avoid their first three-game losing streak of the season. They’re on the road against a Dallas Mavericks team that ended the Milwaukee Bucks' 18-game win streak Monday. It was a big win, but also showcased the Mavericks' strong road record at 10-2. At home, they’re not as strong. Look for the Celtics to take advantage Wednesday.

As an underdog by more than eight points this season, Samford has lost by an average of 24.7. The Bulldogs do not play well against big conference teams. Samford really hasn’t played a top-flight team besides Belmont, and it lost that contest by 32. Alabama is coming off a crushing loss to Penn State but should bounce back nicely in this one.

Georgia Tech proved a lot in its battle against Kentucky on the road, where the Jackets were leading the majority of the first half. Ball State hasn’t had a very impressive start to its season and is coming off a blowout win, so I’m projecting a slow start for the Cardinals. Look for Georgia Tech to improve to 4-1 ATS on the season as a favorite.

This is a tough matchup for the struggling Heels who are not ranked for the first time since 2014. They are seriously banged up and don't figure to slow this Gonzaga team that ranks third in the country in scoring offense (85.8 points per game). The Zags are really good; they can shoot and have great size and athleticism. Go with Gonzaga.

These two teams are no strangers to one another, and I think this will be a low-scoring, defensive battle. The Wildcats are not that good offensively, scoring just 66.0 points per game, but they are tough defensively, allowing just 62.1 points a game. Meanwhile the Spartans are allowing just 65.4 points per game and doing a great job creating turnovers and tough shots. Under is the play.

Houston Baptist is 0-6 on the road and 0-8 overall while Stephen F. Austin is a perfect 6-0 at home. Houston Baptist is the worst defensive team in the nation, allowing 101.1 points a game. Meanwhile the Lumberjacks can score and already have a huge win over Duke. Stephen F. Austin will run away in this game.

Oakland, which was trounced by Michigan State on Saturday, has not come within 20 points of beating Syracuse in the all-time series. The Orange posted a 24-point victory at home as a nine-point favorite two seasons ago. Syracuse, which has lost four of five, has had time to prepare for this one following a deflating setback at Georgetown on Saturday. I like the Orange to come out with intensity tonight and take over this game.

The Utes are solid on both sides of the ball, averaging 83.0 points a game while allowing just 68.6. The Wildcats are allowing just 59.2 points per game but will have a tough time with this Utah offense that can spread the court. The Utes will have to play well defensively to have a shot to win, but I expect them to take this intriguing matchup to the wire. Take the points.

The 76ers lost on Sunday at Brooklyn minus Joel Embiid, while the Heat hit a bit of a letdown spot at Memphis following their win in Dallas. Philadelphia's home winning streak can't last forever and it could get tested Wednesday night by a Heat club that is looking to avenge a blowout loss the last time these clubs met at the Wells Fargo Center. There's value in the points Wednesday behind a strong road team.
