GASPARILLA BOWL -- I have a ton of confidence in Marshall's defense, which does a great job of both communicating at the second and third levels and matching up on the perimeter. I don't have the same confidence in the team's ability to keep UCF's explosive offense off the field. Therefore, it'll be hard for the Thundering Herd to cover the spread as the Knights are a different animal when it comes to pace and consistency on offense.

I believe the Vikings are the better team overall, but in a big divisional game I like getting these points with the Packers. Minnesota's big win last week was more about the Chargers making the kind of errors that Aaron Rodgers doesn't make too often. I believe he can move the ball on the Minnesota defense, and on the other side, I like how Green Bay matches up with the Vikings receivers. This should be a close one that stays within four points either way.

I'm taking the points with Marshall on Monday. Few coaches know how to get a team ready for a bowl game and utilize the time off like Marshall HC Doc Holliday. He's 6-0 SU & ATS in bowl appearances. The Herd should be ready to go with X's and O's and motivation has never been an issue with Holliday at the helm. Motivation might not be the same for UCF, whose juniors and seniors have played SEC opponents in a couple of bowl games and are now settling, for lack of a better term. The Knights have been on the big stage as the hunter and now they have players declaring early for the NFL draft with star WR Gabriel Davis coming to mind (might play). It seems they're no longer thrilled with playing in rinky-dink bowl games. The Knights are the more talented team and this would be a different handicap if it were a regular season game but that's not the case and we'll grab the points with Marshall on Monday. Thanks & GL! Analysis: Obviously, UCF is the far superior team here and statistically speaking, the Knights weren’t that far off from the last two editions which went unbeaten in the regular season. However, Marshall head coach Doc Holliday is 6-0 SU (+13 ppg) and 6-0 ATS (+11 ppg) in bowl games. 30 players on Marshall’s roster are from the state of Florida so they should be plenty fired up here as a big underdog.
