3-Unit Play. Take #872 Seton Hall (-6) over Georgetown (9 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3)
I'll take the home team here. Seton Hall is coming off a fortunate win in the return of Myles Powell earlier this week. Powell wasn't supposed to make his return until this game, but stepped back in and showed no signs of rust while pumping in 27 points. Georgetown, on the other hand, may or may not be without its star player, Mac McClung. If he doesn't play, this team is awful and they will get blown out again like they did against Providence. He missed last game with an eye injury and is questionable for tonight. If he plays, this will be a tough game. But I still think the Pirates matchup well with Georgetown because Seton Hall has the size to slow down Omer Yurtseven and keep the Hoyas off the board. Like I said, if McClung doesn't play then this game will be a rout.
5-Unit Play. Take #861 Delaware (-2) over Drexel (7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3)
Delaware didn't play well against Charleston. At all. But I think that they will bounce back here against one of the worst teams in the CAA. This Dragons program is still very much rebuilding, and to this point Zach Spiker hasn't done anything to make me think he knows what he's doing. This is a young team, still, and they have zero home court edge. The Blue Hens have too much firepower. And after a terrible shooting night against Charleston - they went 3-for-25 from long-range - I expect a much sharper offensive outing.
1-Unit Play. 5-POINT TEASER: Take #851 Monmouth (+12) over Siena (7 p.m.) AND Take #853 Manhattan (+11) over Siena (7 p.m.)
1-Unit Play. 5-POINT TEASER: Take #848 Iona (-3.5) over St. Peter's (7 p.m.) AND Take #872 Seton Hall (-1) over Georgetown (9 p.m.,
