Nate Oats has brought over his up-tempo style from Buffalo and implemented it impressively at Alabama already in his first season. The Crimson Tide are 4th in the country in tempo and 6th in scoring offense at 83.9 points per game.
Alabama is 329th in the luck department out of 353 teams according to KenPom, which means they are unfortunate to only have a 7-6 record at this point. Alabama is 5-2 SU & 7-0 ATS in its last seven games overall with its only losses both coming on the road at Penn State by 2 as 11.5-point dogs and in double-OT at Florida as 7.5-point dogs.
Mississippi State has really been a disappointment this season. The Bulldogs have recent losses to Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State as favorites and a 12-point loss to Auburn as a home favorite. Alabama has played the 22nd-toughest schedule in the country while Mississippi State has played the 114th.

Cincinnati opened conference action with a resounding win over Connecticut but is coming off an upset loss at Tulane on Saturday as it fell 76-71 as 7.5-point road favorites. It was actually the fourth loss in six games for the Bearcats with three of those coming on the road. The loss to Colgate was inexcusable but we like another bounceback opportunity similar to how it blew out Connecticut after that loss to the Red Raiders. Overall, Cincinnati is 6-1 at home. Tulsa rolled over Temple last Friday which snapped a three game losing streak and the Golden Hurricane improved to 8-2 at home. They are just 1-3 away from home with the lone win coming against Vanderbilt, arguably the worst team in the SEC. I'll take my chances here with the Seminoles going on the road and covering as a 7-point favorite against the Demon Deacons. I think the perception here is that FSU will have a tough time showing up for this game off that big upset win at Louisville over the weekend, but I'm just not buying it.
Seminoles have won 6 straight and are 13-2 overall. While Wake Forest has won three straight, I'm just not a believer in the Demon Deacons. We have seen this team lose at home by 9 to NC State and get annihilated by 18 at Penn State.
The biggest thing here is the matchup and it's a really bad one for Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons get almost all of their offense inside (only average 6 made 3-pointers per game). Scoring in the paint against the length and athleticism of the Seminoles is not easy. Opponents on the season are shooting a mere 39.3% against them and just 37.5% on the road.
Florida State has won 4 of the last 5 meetings with all 4 wins during this stretch coming by no fewer than 8 points. FSU also shoots 47% from the field and Wake is a mere 4-13 ATS last 3 seasons at home vs teams who shoot 45% or better. Give me the Seminoles -7!Comment

The Houston Rockets will be without Russell Westbrook tonight. And they shouldn’t be favored this heavily on the highway against an Atlanta Hawks team that is playing well right now. The Hawks have upset wins over the Magic as 10.5-point dogs and the Pacers are 7-point dogs in two of their last four games. They only lost by 3 at Boston as 10.5-point dogs and by 8 to the Nuggets as 7-point dogs in their other two games. I know the Rockets are rested but they are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games playing on three or more days of rest. Houston is 1-5 ATS in its last six road games against a team with a losing home record. Give me the Hawks.Comment
