(559) Sacramento Kings at (560) Phoenix Suns
You will read and hear the major media mouths, frontmen for their networks, call last night's victory by the Kings a easy-peezy rout of the Warriors. The truth is it was anything but. Yes, Walton's crew won by double-digits. But they were double-digit favorites. And yes, they were up by 20-plus in the game but they covered by a two-point bucket in the 111-98 final.
It was one of the worst shooting nights this season for the Warriors. Shooting from beyond the arc. At one point GS was 1-of-20 from the three-point line and they didn't hit a three pointer until their sixteen attempt. The finished 5-of-26 from long range. The Kings were as good as they can be. Sac shot over 50 percent from the arc and 48 percent overall.
The Kings had 22 turnovers and if they turn the ball over 15 times tonight in Phoenix they will have their ass handed to them. Anyone who has watched the Suns and Kings this year will agree with me... the Suns are a better team when these two go head-to-head. Booker owns the backcourt of the Kings and the new look front court of coach Williams tonight in combination with the injuries that Sac is facing in paint is not favorable for the Kings winning the second leg of a back-to-back.
Kings' Richaun Holmes had to leave the win over the Warriors with an injury to his right shoulder. He is questionable for tonight. Unlikely is a more accurate description.
The Kings were already without fellow frontcourt players Bogdan Bogdanovic (sprained right ankle) and Marvin Bagley III (sprained left foot) in the Golden State contest. And the trio are likely to be inactive tonight justifying a play on the Suns minus the touchdown.

(601) Providence at (602) Marquette
The victory over Villanova this past weekend has positioned Marquette in a situation that makes them to be a contender in a deep and talented Big East. Butler, Seton Hall and tonight's foe, Providence, are a perfect 2-0 in league play. M
The 1-1 mark in confernce play, the loss, was on New Years day in Omaha when the Eagles lost to Creighton by a 92-75 final.
Marquette's Achilles that New Year's day was committing twice as many turnovers as the Blue Jays. Thrwo in that Howard scored just 18 points didn't help the Eagles in the final 10 minutes of the second half.
Tonight's game is as close to situationally strong as any others in January. The matchup between Howard and Pipkins should not be called a matchup in truth... it should be and is not fair... not far to the Fryers and Pipkins. Howard will have his way with the Providence point guard.
I will keep tonight's analysis short and to the point. This Fryers team might be 2-0 in league play but they are suspect on any give night considering their poor shooting percentage as of late. In particular Dialo who is makingf just 1-of-5 of this three-point attempts.
Marquette in a rout tonight.

Not as desirable as the 217 from earlier but slow on the uptake....still a great number with no rest for either team and a couple of Under trends in the 6-0 and 23-0 and better

12-4 ATS at home...Thunder with no Gallo and on no rest plus travel and off a tough loss to the Sixers whereas the Nets are also on no rest, but will have Levert in the lineup and are already great at jumping on teams early...which should be the case against the Thunder....oh the line reeks ALL TO HELL...and that CAN'T BE BAD!

Talked much on the show....the Lakers are the only team with a motivation here...especially early where they are solid anyway...plus LBJ...and healthy outside of this...Lebron distributing it all over the place while the Knicks have a 3 in 4 with 2 straight Staples games....hard to imagine the motivation if it possibly exists whatsoever...
Mike Miller and Julius Randle with Elfrid Payton do give me just cause...because I accept the argument the Lakers may have little motivation as well...but the Knicks I believe are better than the current edition of the Pistons...and will Vogel put up with a 2nd straight pathetic, lifeless effort against an Eastern Conference cellar dweller....should he? Should Lebron? Well even if it's late we shall avoid...but I think it's quite possible this spread is tripled by the time we cash!

Tough loss with Toledo on the road against Ball State last week as I thought we might have an outright winner but missed the cover after all by 1 point in a 4 point loss! The Rockets are back in MAC action on the road again tonight in Cleveland to face Kent State...this time getting a smidge more points...and still my numbers have this off by the same margin...with Kent State not being worth anything more than regular HCA, if even this many points. One wonders how nervous Vegas already is with the disparity in record ON TOP of the venue. Kent State has looked good and is off a very solid victory over BG, by 18 points on the road to open MAC play. Toledo is on a 5 game losing streak including the aforementioned Ball State game and is on the road again coming into the game with an 8-6 record and Kent State is 11-2 at tip off tonight.
In addition to the numbers showing this a damn near equal matchup...we have more tickets on Kent but the line nearly sprinting away from them....and a 28-32 ATS trend spot for the team in Kent's positon tonight....including just 3 of the last 9 covered!

Kermit Davis' boys pretty much take what they can get on the offensive end for the season so far...when the opponent has a 100 or much worse defensive rating, they are able to usually handle them with no qualms and put up nearly 80 points or sometimes more...while limiting the opponent on offense. However, the last 3 times they played a team with a defense that is solid like the Aggies tonight at College Station, they have average 49 points TOTAL per game against OK State, Wichita State, and Butler. One thing A&M does not have in common at all with those 3 teams is offensive prowess! The Aggies are an extreme work in progress for Buzz in his first year, and while it has gotten better recently...at home they are suffocating on defense and suffocated many times by the opponent, with an 8-1 Under record on the home floor heading into tonight and have a really great win over Oregon State allowing just 49 points to the Beavers at home...and then holding up tempo Arkansas to less than 70 points on the road.
127 is not where I have this total and I think it might be damn near 6 or 7 points off from where I rank this game...while I also think A&M keeps up the momentum on their home court and get a big league win tonight in the 61-57 range....hopefully it is out of the ridiculous foul shot realm near the end and I think we cruise to a victory....be ready with live betting if you're able in case things get "out of hand" early on potentially...like can always be the case
