Great under the radar game in the A10 here tonight...and a game Travis Ford and co. will have had circled for quite some time...and is a GREAT scheduling spot considering they've had ALL week off to prepare for Obi and the Flyers visiting the STL tonight...and the bar none leader to win the league is going to garner every opponent's best effort! Just a few weeks back St. Joe's competed their asses off for about 30 minutes tied or leading throughout before succumbing to what I have rated easily a top 5 offense in the country.
On the other side of Obi and Ibi, the Crutch and Trey...is Jordan Goofsin, who is a potential star in his own right...and despite UD being loaded...will be the 2nd best player on the court tonight.
St. Louis is excellent as a team getting to the line...not necessarily hitting the shots where they are the country's worst % team...but the chance at points with a dead clock is all we need with a total in this vicinity. I see the Billikens being able to stick with UD due to the importance of this game...both for March Madness as well as an ultimate ticket to the dance....and I certainly don't see that meaning first 1 to 60 points BY ANY MEANS. UD is 5-1 to the Over on the road this season...and Over 5 of 5 as just a single digit favorite or dog

Love this play as just the 3rd game each has played this month...with the direct previous being merely a "tune-up" game against a non-D1 school and direct previous to that...each team's best game...with Yale nearly knocking off suddenly not all that impressive UNC while Brown took Rhode Island flat out to the woodshed and never trailed defeating the Rams.
Now Brown is being highly disrespected here facing the cream of the Ivy League crop...given no chance tonight...and while I do think Yale wins this game...I think Brown gets theirs for sure and makes this a real battle...and a 75-70 type final and not a 73-61 type game.

4% Take Portland (#543)
The Blazers have arguably been the single biggest underachiever in the NBA this season. Last year, this team was in the Western Conference Finals. This year, they are six games under .500; out of the playoffs if they started today. Yes, some of it is injury related, with the likes of Jusuf Nurkic, Zack Collins and Rodney Hood all out long term. Some of it has been a lack of intensity, some has been struggles to step up in class and some has been normal early season randomness.
When we look at the Blazers moving forward – being pro-active, not re-active -- I see a buy sign. So do they! CJ McCollum, after the Blazers pulled off the outright upset in Houston earlier in the week: “We dug ourselves quite the hole with inconsistent play, injuries, bad losses, lots of losses in a row. This was a game we needed to win. We need to win every game honestly going forward." Damian Lillard: “A season is full of ups and downs and we've had more downs this year than ups, but it's a whole second half of the season to play. We executed and we played like we wanted to win the game ... we've just got to sustain that."
This has been a hotly contested series. The Mavs haven’t beaten the Blazers by more than a single point since 2018. Three of the last four meetings were decided by two points or less, or in overtime. Dallas is stepping up in class after facing the Kings and Warriors on the road earlier in the week, now laying a big spread playing their third game in four nights. Expect a battle, not a blowout. Take the Blazers

Rotation #855
Rider -6 over Niagara
Niagara has struggled this year with first year head coach Greg Paulus leading the program. This is a team with only one player that had starting experience coming into the season. It doesn’t help that this is one of the more smaller lineups in America. This team is in a rebuilding process. Rider is a better basketball team with a more talented lineup and a head coach entering his 8th year with the program. There is no excuse for a team that has the advantage in almost every statistical category to not get a big win tonight. Take Rider.

3 Unit Play. Take #866 Iowa -4.5 over Michigan (9:00p.m., Friday January 17)
The Iowa Hawkeyes get this game in their backyard and lets face it the Michigan Wolverines have struggled on the road in conference play. The Wolverines lost to the Gophers on the road 75-67 and 87-69 on the road to the Spartans and tonight the Hawkeyes will expose Michigan. Michigan is 0-4 ATS last 4 road games and the Hawkeyes are 6-0 ATS last 6 home games. The favorite in this series is also 9-4 ATS and give me the Hawkeyes at home.
