The only danger here is the Bears taking the Cowboys lightly, but a 13-game win streak suggests they take no foe for granted. Take Baylor.

The Buffaloes had to travel, albeit a short distance, to another away game for a quick turnaround for a lunch-hour tip-off in Tucson. 'Zona is a scoring machine at home, averaging 87.3 points a game and going 9-1 straight-up. The Buffs have not gotten within seven points of the Wildcats in this building. The Cats cover.

Two hot teams meet up here in Conference USA action. Charlotte is in 1st place in the Conference at 4-0 while W. Kentucky is in a 4 way tie for 2nd place with a 4-1 record. So when you first look at this game you are going to want to grab the 1st place dog Charlotte but that would be a mistake as Charlotte is no where near as good as their record might indicate. Charlotte is counterfeit as they have played one of the easiet schedules in the country. Charlotte's schedule is the #332 ranked schedule. That's 332 out of 353 teams. Only 21 teams have played a softer schedule this year. W. Kentucky has played the #176 toughest schedule. W. Kentucky won but failed to cover it's last game. My feeling is that W. Kentucky got caught looking ahead to this first place showdown. I love taking a good team following a scare in their last game because you can always count on getting their best effort in this one. My numbers have W. Kentucky winning by 11-13 points as my 5% COLLEGE GAME OF THE MONTH

I am an Illinois fan, and earlier this season Miami came to Champaign and I watched as 5-foot-7 Chris Lykes lit the Illini up and thought to myself "this is the greatest basketball player I've ever seen." Well, he's not, and Miami has plenty of flaws (what is defense, anyway?), but I like the Canes in this spot at home against the Noles.

I took Alabama against Auburn earlier this week because I said Auburn wasn't as good as its undefeated record suggested. I said you shouldn't be surprised if Alabama won outright. Well, Alabama won, and now Auburn is playing its second straight road game against a Florida team that is better than Alabama. I like the Gators for many of the same reasons I liked the Tide.

Well, we are certainly buying low here, aren't we? Kansas State enters this game having lost four straight and nine of its last 12 after a 4-0 start to the season. Now they're facing the best defense in the country according to KenPom, but that poor play of late, as well as that No. 12 next to West Virginia's name has led to this spread being a little too large.

Kansas is the better team here by a lot, but this will be a tricky matchup for the Jayhawks. The one thing Texas' defense does really well is pressure you and force turnovers. Well, Kansas has struggled with turnovers on the offensive end all season long. That and free throws are its two biggest weak spots. Two things which can sometimes loom large on the road.

Any time I see a ranked team on the road in a conference game that's as large a dog as the Buffs are here, my ears perk up. There's good reason for it this time, as Arizona is a better team than Colorado, and at home I like the young, talented Wildcats.

It's a team that doesn't defend or rebound well, and those teams are always difficult to trust against the spread against teams that do defend, and have a significant size advantage. Ohio State has been one of the more confusing teams in the country this season. It's ranked No. 12 overall by KenPom, yet it's only 2-4 in conference play. Given how similar these teams are, Penn State's size, and the way home teams have performed in the Big Ten this year, Penn State is the smarter play.
