NEVADA -9.5
NEW MEXICO @ NEVADA | 1/25 | 8:00 PM EST
1:22 PM
New Mexico ended its last game with just eight scholarship players, with some absentees suspended and others injured. Guard JaQuan Lyle (17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists per game) would leave a tough hole to fill if, as expected, a knee injury keeps him out. The Lobos have lost their three league roadies. As added incentive for the Wolf Pack, coach Steve Alford aims for his 600th career win, against a school where he once coached. Take Nevada.

GEORGIA -6.5
OLE MISS @ GEORGIA | 1/25 | 5:30 PM EST
1:19 PM
The Bulldogs’ lone loss at home came against mighty Kentucky. Ole Miss is 0-5 in true road games and last won seven games ago. It is still dusting off from a 25-point beating to Tennessee. Georgia’s defense lately has been leaky, but the Rebels average a mere 68.0 points per game. Georgia standout Anthony Edwards has been inconsistent but should regain his touch here. I'm on the Dawgs.

TENNESSEE @ KANSAS | 1/25 | 4:00 PM EST
1:12 PM
Forget the suspensions. The affected Kansas players are insignificant. What matters is that a crafty coach (Tennessee’s Rick Barnes) has been handed a pile of points in a likely low-scoring matchup. (Both sides are trending Under.) The Volunteers are masters at protecting the rim, which will partly negate the Jayhawks’ inside game. Tennessee limits 3-point baskets, gets to the foul line often and makes a high rate of free throws. Vols cover.

OKLAHOMA CITY @ MINNESOTA | 1/25 | 8:00 PM EST
12:54 PM
The Timberwolves are not playing well defensively, but they are putting up points. They allowed 131 last night to Houston but scored 124 themselves. Meanwhile the Thunder have won both meetings this year against Minnesota, averaging 128.0 points in the process. The Over is 11-1 in the last 12 games with the Thunder as a favorite and is 6-0 in the last six meetings between the teams. Take the Over.

OKLAHOMA CITY @ MINNESOTA | 1/25 | 8:00 PM EST
12:48 PM
These teams appear heading in opposite directions. The Thunder crushed the Hawks last night and have won four straight and 16 of their last 21. The Wolves lost a tough game at home last night to the Rockets and are now just 6-16 at home. They have now lost eight straight and 22 of their last 27. Oklahoma City is 2-0 against Minnesota this year, averaging 128.0 points per contest, and is 8-0 ATS in its last eight games on the back end of a back-to-back. Take the Thunder.

L.A. LAKERS -4
L.A. LAKERS @ PHILADELPHIA | 1/25 | 8:30 PM EST
12:30 PM
Philly is missing a couple of key players in Joel Embiid and Josh Richardson. The Lakers are playing some of their best basketball on the road (20-4 record) and have several matchup advantages in this game. They are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 trips to the City of Brotherly Love. Meanwhile the 76ers are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog. I love L.A.
