The Buckeyes' ego has been beat up, with all seven of their losses coming in their last 10 games. They’ve failed to cover the spread in each of their last seven outings. All seven losses have been against good teams. The only break they’ve had in the schedule over the last month was a home win against Nebraska. Northwestern is the Buckeyes' get-well game, and I expect them to take advantage of the Wildcats' several weaknesses.

3-Unit Play: Take 843 Xavier +5.5 over Creighton (4 p.m., Sunday, January 26)
I'm taking the points with Xavier on Sunday. When Xavier followed a 12-point home loss to Creighton with a 20-point road loss to Marquette, Muskies' HC Travis Steele had seen enough. Steele got on his team for their lack of success on the defensive end and his team responded by slamming the door on Georgetown in a 66-57 Xavier win. But he also saw what freshman Zach Freemantle could do as a starter after Quentin Goodin suffered a pregame injury. Goodin is questionable on Sunday but the team got back to Xavier basketball, which means taking care of business on the defensive end. The Musketeers will look to gain a measure of revenge after making just 5 of 26 3-pointers in the first meeting. They also made just 4 FTs on 6 FTAs to Creighton's 16 makes on 19 tries, which proved to be the difference in the game. CU has never swept a season series from Xavier since becoming Big East members in the 2013-14 season and Xavier has won 4 of the last 6 meetings outright, while covering 6 of the last 8. Per this selection, Hawks lost to this team by 10 points not too long ago. The difference here is they will not score just 101 points this time but substantially more. Hawks come off getting thumped by around 30 points to OKC but the difference here is when the Hawks bounce-bakc it's not via defense but offense. The Hawks have Collins back from suspension, Reddish, Jeff Teague is playing great off the bench, Trae being Trae and Huerter is also playing well. Combine that with the Wizards having a tandem of Beal/Isiah, and also a slew of forward and guards such as Bertans and others who are scoring with ease, look for this game to be very fast paced and likely goes over. Remember, both these teams are comfortable running with the personnel they have on the floor and consequently with the Hawks on the bounce-back, with some revenge, and the Wizards playing some of their best basketball including beating the Heat despite their injury to Hachimura, we like the Over here.Comment
