RAGING BLAZE - When Russell gives Russell a leg up on any mount, you know full well that with their win pct you have much more than a fighting chance. Speed is always important in horse racing, but the lone speed horse is always dangerous. Have to forget about that last race on the turf. This filly should do better hitting the dirt right here in this race. Looking at today's class rating, this horse is meeting an easier group than last time out at Delaware Park. KICKSTARTMYHEART - Trainer Keefe moves this one down in class ranks to face much lower class horses. Look for a solid race given this drop. A repeat of that most recent effort on Dec 22nd where she garnered a speed figure of 60 looks good enough to triumph in this race. I like this filly. Has the top (EPS) earnings per start in here. CORNETTA'S CHOICE - Last time she ran at this distance she recorded a speed rating good enough to win today's affair. I really like that this horse shows a gate work since the last event and is getting blinkers on today. Always a good angle to play. Dilodovico drops her down to this level. You don't need too much more information to believe this one should run well at this level.

My choice in this race is KONA SKYE. Has performed strongly recently in route races, posting a nifty 70 avg Equibase Speed Figure. Tough to pass on this gelding with Martinez in the irons. Has respectable early pace and will most likely fare admirably versus this group. PIVO - Has been running soundly lately and will probably be up near the front end early on. Has very good Equibase Class Figures relative to this field - worth a look. DEEPINGREEN - Must be carefully examined based on the competitive Equibase Speed Figure earned in the last contest. Has been running soundly and has among the best speed in the race for today's distance.

AUNT IRENE - I like the jockey on this filly - very good chance to win the race. Will probably compete very well in the pace contest which bodes well with this group. DREAM SATURDAY - A horse coming back this quickly after a solid race is a good omen. Classic handicapping angle - 3rd or 4th start after a vacation generally leads to a big effort. This horse is live today. HEART IN HAND - After the contest aboard this horse on January 17th, the jock is going to know the gelding much better. This jock/trainer duo has been producing a very beneficial ROI, right at +24. This gelding should be in top form, this far into his form cycle. Look at this gelding's PP lines. With each affair he keeps getting closer. This thoroughbred has increased his speed ratings from a fig of 53 to 75 to 81 in succession. CAIRN - It looks like Deleon had to 'know' this gelding on January 11th when riding him for the first time. Back on again today. Gelding emerged victorious his last race here on Jan 11th as a shipper. I think he looks like a winner once again. Taking this jock/trainer combination is a smart move. Have to make this gelding a win candidate; he comes off a good effort on January 11th.
