After a blazing start, overachieving Stanford has returned to Earth with three losses in a row. Oregon has won four in a row and, though it failed to cover against California on Thursday, is on a 13-4 ATS road tear. The Cardinal are all about defense, but the Ducks, fronted by guard Payton Pritchard (19.8 points per game), are rarely begging for points. I'm on Oregon.

A good matchup for Richmond could get even better if George Washington guard Armel Potter (14.5 points and 5.5 assists per game) sits with a hurt hip, as expected. The Spiders avoid turnovers, as attested by their 19th best rate per possession, while the Colonials rank 334th in turnovers forced rate. The visitors are coming off an exhausting four-overtime marathon on the road, and depth will be compromised if Potter takes a pass. Take Richmond.

Michigan State downed the Badgers by 12 two weeks ago with the losing side at full strength. The Spartans were 0-4 ATS on the road until reversing course by thrashing Minnesota by 18 on Sunday. Love the home team in this game since the home team has covered 8 of the last 10 games and Ohio State has covered 7 of their last 9 games at home against Indiana. Ohio State is going to be a desperate team after their lousy start to the Big 10 season so look for a full effort from them here and they should have a confidence boost off of a big win at Northwestern. Indiana is just 2-5 ATS on the road this season and they are only 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Take Ohio State here as the play of the day.

This is a matchup between two teams on very different types of streaks. The Jazz have lost three straight, the last two of which have come on the road. They have largely struggled on the road this season, posting just a 12-13-1 record there ATS. Meanwhile, the Blazers have pulled off three consecutive wins against excellent teams in the Pacers, Rockets and Lakers. Carmelo Anthony could be back after sitting out Friday for personal reasons, which would be a big boost since he would be fresh. I think the Blazers have a chance to win this game, so I’ll take the points.
