            NCAA-B | Rutgers vs Maryland
Play on: Rutgers +7½ -109 at GTBets

10* FREE NCAAB PICK (Rutgers +7.5)
I'll take my chances here with the Scarlet Knights covering as a 7.5-point dog at Maryland. Rutgers has been one of the surprise teams in the Big Ten and while they are just 1-3 on the road in conference games, their last 3 road losses have all been by 6 or less and those were against some quality teams in Illinois, Iowa and Michigan.
Those are their only three losses in their last 13 games. They did just lose last time out to Michigan by a score of 63-69, but have not lost back-to-back games since early December. I'm not saying they will pull off an outright win at Maryland, but I think they can give the Terps a legit scare.
I not only think we are getting value with Rutgers due to them coming off a loss, but I also think we are seeing Maryland a bit overvalued, due to them having won their last 4 and owning a 7-1 ATS mark in their last 8 games.
Scarlet Knights are 11-4 ATS last 15 games vs a team with a winning record, including a 6-0-1 ATS mark in their last 7 games vs a team that's won more than 60% of their games. They are 13-6-1 ATS last 20 as a road and 9-1 ATS last 10 vs good defensive teams that are holding opponents to 42% or worse from the field. Give me Rutgers +7.5!

                NCAA-B | Rutgers vs Maryland
Play on: Maryland -7½ -105 at pinnacle

My free play is on Maryland at 7:00 ET.17-4 Maryland (7-3 in the Big Ten) jumped from No. 15 to No. 9 in Monday's new AP poll, as the Terps have racked up four consecutive wins. Thursday's impressive 82-72 win over now-No. 17 Iowa moved them within one-half game of first place in the Big Ten (Mich St & Illinois are 8-3), as the school looks to capture its first Big Ten regular-season championship since joining the conference back in 2014. The Terps will welcome Rutgers to Xfinity Center in College park on Tuesday night, with the Scarlet Knights coming to town with a 16-6 overall record, including 7-4 in the Big Ten. Rutgers lost 69-63 to Michigan as part of the Big Ten’s Super Saturday series at Madison Square Garden over the weekend and dropped out of the AP's new poll on Monday (Rutgers was ranked 25th, the school's first AP ranking since the end of the 1978-79 season).
Rutgers head coach Steve Pikiell is in his fourth season at the school, having gone 44-54 in his first three. Coming off a a 14-17 season a year ago, Rutgers was picked 12th (of 14 schools) in the Big Ten preseason polls but the Scarlet Knights are off to their best start since the 1996-97 season. Pikiel took his team to Spain in August and Rutgers went 4-0, while jelling as a unit. The "breakout star" of that trip was guard Ron Harper, who averaged 17.0 PPG on 53 percent shooting. He's currently Rutgers' leading scorer, averaging 11.6 PPG and adding 5.8 RPG. PG Baker (9.7 & 3.5 APG) joins Harper in the backcourt, as do the trio of Young, McConnell and Mathis (they combine to add right around 24 PPG), giving Rutgers a STRONG perimeter group. Up front, the 6-6 Yeboah (9.9 & 4.5) and the 6-10 Johnson (9.0 & 8.0) are the biggest contributors.
Maryland lost the 6-10 Fernando and his double-double average (13.6 & 10.6) from last year's 23-11 NCAA team (lost in the 2nd round) but FOUR starters returned. Mark Turgeon's team was ranked 7th in the AP's preseason poll. The Terps opened 10-0 and were ranked No. 4 when they lost Dec 10 at Penn St. That defeat started a 3-4 run but Maryland takes a four-game winning streak into this contest. PG Anthony Cowan (16.2-3.7-4.7) leads the team in scoring but the 6-10 Jalen Smith (15.3 & 9.8) checks in right behind him, after averaging 21.6 points and 11 rebounds in his last five games.. Maryland can match Rutgers' depth on the perimeter with Wiggins (10.9 & 5.6), Ayala (8.2) and Morsell (8.0 & 5.0).
Rutgers lone road win this season has come at 7-15 Nebraska (2-9 in the Big Ten), while Maryland is 12-0 at home this season and has won 20 of its last 21 home games. Lay the points.
                Good luck...Larry

Play on: Virginia Tech +2½ -105 at BMaker

1* NCAAB - Free Pick on Virginia Tech Hokies +2½
I like the value here with the Hokies as a small road dog against the Yellow Jackets. This might seem like an easy fade of Virginia Tech given they have lost 3 straight, but Georgia Tech is a team they can get right against.
Things haven't been going much better for the Yellow Jackets, who are just 1-4 in their last 5 conference games. Georgia Tech has also only won once on their home floor in ACC play. I think their struggles continue. Yellow Jackets like to play zone and that's really been the one defense the Hokies have consistently exploited.
On the flip side of the ball, Hokies try to force you to beat them from the outside, as they don't have the size inside. That could work against a Yellow Jackets team that ranks 8th in the conference in 3-point %.
Virginia Tech is 20-8-1 ATS last 29 vs a team with a losing record and 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 road games vs a team with a losing home record. Hokies are also 4-1 ATS last 5 as a road dog and the road team has covered 4 of the last 5 games in the series. Take Virginia Tech!

                          NBA | Bucks vs Pelicans
                          Play on: UNDER 245 -115

Tuesday NBA Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Milwaukee and New Orleans at 7:35 pm et on Tuesday.
There's a lot of hype around this matchup and deservedly so as Giannis and the Bucks face Zion and the Pelicans in the Big Easy. I believe the total has been set a little too high. Even if this does turn into a track meet, I still believe we have room to work with given the inflated number. Note that both teams check in top-seven in the league in defensive rating over their last five games. In this case, I do think the high-octane offenses overshadow the way these two squads can perform at the defensive end of the floor. The Bucks have made a commitment to defense, particularly of late with Brook Lopez being quoted as saying they want to be the "best defense in the league" following Sunday's win over the Suns. The Pelicans are playing much better defense lately than they were earlier in the season, when they allowed 127 points in a 15-point loss against these same Bucks in Milwaukee. The Bucks have paced the league in offensive rating for much of the season but sit seventh in that department over their last five games, two spots ahead of the Pelicans. This should be an entertaining, high-scoring affair, but I'm not convinced it approaches the lofty total. Take the under (8*).

SENSATIONAL 100% PERFECT 11-0 NCAAB PREMIUM PICK RUN TESTED TUESDAY!
The Charlotte Hornets have the worst points per game average in the league and they're dead last for pace (possessions per game), but I think we'll see a relatively high-scoring affair when they visit the Houston Rockets Tuesday night.
Only the Bucks score more points per game than the Rockets who like to push the tempo, and they're likely to make the most of their rest advantage as Charlotte will be playing the second game of a back-to-back set.
Over is 5-1 in the Hornets' last six games playing on no rest and 6-1 in Rockets' games when they face an opponent who is playing on no rest.

Kentucky almost made my card here tonight. I really like them in this spot coming off a loss @ Auburn in which I did have Auburn in that game. Coach Cal is great at motivating his players after a loss. Evidence in that is that after their 2 recent losses they have followed up with wins and covers the next game. Miss St is also getting a ton of respect here since they have won 5 of their last 6 games. They have also covered 7 straight games as well. The talent gap is simply too big here and an angry Wildcat team I love to back
