The home-away sequence has been fantastic for the Mavs, as they are a ridiculous 19-0 ATS on the road off a home game, including 14-0 ATS this season. Washington started 2-0 on its six-game home stand, but were upset 125-117 by the Warriors in game three. The Wizards are 0-10 ATS as an underdog with extra rest off a loss that was tied five-plus times, and 0-9 ATS off a game as a favorite in which they had at least twice as many assists as turnovers.

The Thunder have won eight of their last nine games, and I don't like the way the Pistons are going to feel mentally as a team on Friday. I'm on Oklahoma City.

The Sixers have dropped a season-high four straight games, and last night's effort against the Bucks showed this team is having issues. I think those issue are only going to get worse. Memphis has won 14 of the last 17 meetings against Philadelphia. Take the points.

But that should come to an end Friday against a Pacers team that will be determined to finish what it started and matches up well with Toronto. The Pacers are 5-1 ATS coming off a straight-up loss.

Illinois should be set for a big win here tonight. The Illini are coming off a rare loss to Iowa on Sunday. That snapped a seven-game winning streak by Illinois. They are 4-0 ATS in their last four games after a loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss to the number. Maryland is off back-to-back big wins over Iowa and Rutgers at home and they have won five in a row. The Terps are not a strong road team though. Illinois has covered the spread in three straight in this series. They only won one of those games. But their last two losses to Maryland were by just one point apiece! Illinois is a much stronger team this year and I think that they will want to prove it with a big win over a Top 10 opponent here. Lay the points with the home team.

Manhattan is still one of the better teams in the Metro this year and they will be tough in their own gym. When Niagara, one of the worst teams in the Metro, has lost games this year they have usually not been very pretty. The Jaspers won the first meeting by five on the road I think they can top that here at home.

1-Unit Play. Take #872 Illinois (-3) over Maryland (8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7)
If this game were in Maryland with the same number I'd take Maryland. There isn't a wide discrepancy between the talent on these teams. But I'll go with Illinois because they are at home. And because they are a lower ranked team favored over a ranked team.

1-Unit Play. Take #873 South Alabama (-4) over Troy (9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7)

I think that South Alabama is better than its record. They are coming off a nice win at Georgia Southern and now I think that they should be able to be beat up one of the dregs of the Sun Belt. USA has played one of the league's tougher schedules and I think that they will get back to .500 in Sun Belt play with a win here.
