3-Unit Play #513 Take Memphis +5 over Philadelphia (7 p.m. EST, Friday Feb 7)

Memphis is one of the better ATS teams this season, and Philly is one of the worst. We think this line is out of whack once again on Friday. The Grizzlies are playing much better right now. They have won six of seven games and are playing their best basketball of the season. They have covered in all the wins. They seem to be playing with a chip on their collective shoulders, and that is the kind of team you want to back with your betting dollars. Philly has lost four straight and have covered only one in their last seven. The Sixers are good at home, but they are vulnerable tonight.

3-Unit Play #517 Take Detroit/Oklahoma City UNDER 215 (8 p.m. EST, Friday Feb 7)

OKC has really ramped up the defense lately, and we don't see the Pistons having much offensive success tonight. The Pistons have scored 100 or less in three of their last six games. With Drummond being shipped out of town, that will hurt this team not only on the court but also in the morale department. We expect a real flat performance tonight from the road team. The oddsmakers tab this one as a blowout, and we agree, and we think the Pistons will struggle to score their share of points to get this one over the posted number.

2-Unit Play #523 Take Miami PK over Sacramento (10 p.m. EST, Friday Feb 7)

We like to take a good team after an embarrassing loss and that is the case tonight as the Heat ran into a buzzsaw last time out at Staples against the Clippers. But they are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 after a blowout loss, and we expect them to get back to their winning ways tonight. Miami was playing well before that Clippers have and have covered in three of their last five. They are the much better team in this matchup and we think they bounce back well tonight.

4-Unit Play #525 Take Portland +8.5 over Utah (10:30 p.m. EST, Friday Feb 7)

Utah has reverted back to their early-season ways and they are playing very poor basketball right now. They faced the same spread pretty much last time out vs. Denver and got spanked on their home court. Portland has won and covered in five of their last six games and they are in great form right now and playing some of their best basketball of the season. We just think this spread is way overinflated. Could Utah play their game and blow the Blazers out? Of course. But we have to go with recent form here and this line just looks way off to us.

3-Unit Play. #516. Take Boston -10 over Atlanta Hawks (Friday @ 7:35pm est)

We're sitting around the +5000 mark right now and we look forward to extend that even more today. Note, the XFL Season starts for us in earnest tomorrow and we are excited about the 3 selections that we are going to release. We look forward to having a winning week in the first week of the XFL. Note, this selection Boston just beat Atlanta by 8 points in Atlanta a couple games ago. But, Boston was down by 2 at the half and I don't see them taking Atlanta so lightly here. I think Boston will come out focused and they have won and covered 5 in a row and it is Friday Night in Boston. Atlanta comes off a huge win against Minnesota but Minnesota does not play defense and Boston does. Tack on the fact that Boston is without Kemba Walker still and more and more players are stepping up, I think this sets up nicely for Boston. Look for our 3rd straight NHL Winner today as well

Maryland has won 5-Straight coming into this conference road game and tonight they battle Illinois who is also playing some good ball. Maryland will be looking for more offense because their last game they only scored 56 points and shot the ball poorly in the first half. The Terps last two road games both of them have gone 'Over' and Illinois last game gave up 72 in a loss to Iowa and tonight I see both teams shooting the ball well. Illinois is 5-1 O/U last 6 home games against a team with a winning road record

At 10:35 pm, our selection is on the Utah Jazz minus the points over Portland. The Jazz have been an extremely streaky team this season. It's currently on a 5-Game SU/ATS losing streak. And, earlier this season, it had three other 3-game ATS losing streaks. Meanwhile, on the flipside, the Jazz have also had ATS win streaks of 3, 4 and 7 games. I look for Utah to snap its losing streak tonight, as it will host an unrested Portland team tonight. Last night, the Blazers bested the Spurs, 125-117. But unrested teams off a high-scoring win, in which they tallied 122+ points, are a poor 36% ATS since 1990 vs. .545 (or better) foes off a loss. And the Jazz are 33-12 ATS off a SU/ATS home loss when favored, and playing with revenge. Lay the points with Utah. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

The Crimson have seen their road trip marked by a win followed with consecutive losses by four combined points. In the meantime, Yale has built up a 4-0 Ivy League mark by mostly beating up on the conference's lower-tier clubs. This already is a crucial spot for Harvard, which might have the most talented roster in the Ivy League but can't afford to fall any further behind in the standings. The Crimson also have dominated this series and won at Yale last year.
