My data forecasts the Blues beating the Stars about 55 percent of the time on their Friday meeting, providing major value on the slight road underdog. The underdog is on a 9-4 run in this series and St. Louis also has won four of the past five matchups. The Blues also come in a two-game winning steak, both by shutout.

My projection model likes the Pacers to come out of the All-Star break with a road blowout of the lowly Knicks on Friday. Indiana is covering the spread in two-thirds of simulations and winning by double figures. New York showed a few sings of life before the break, but I see this team regressing to its limited ceiling. The Pacers have covered five straight as a road favorite and are looking to redeem a home loss the last time these clubs met.

My projections see the Wizards defeating the Cavaliers by double figures Friday, easily covering the modest number as a home chalk. I've got Washington winning in nearly 70 percent of simulations and by an average of 11 points. Washington headed to the All-Star break with a mostly healthy lineup and momentum with two straight wins. The disastrous Cavaliers are in transition mode again amid the mid-season resignation of coach John Beilein.

The linemakers expect a close game, and Oklahoma City has played half-court games in this scenario. The Thunder have stayed Under eight straight when the line is within three of pick 'em and they have more than one day of rest. The value is with the Under.

This qualifies them for a league-wide multiseason system that says, “Teams that are playing an isolated game (two-plus days off before and after) have produced 32 straight Unders when they are off a home loss in which they shot worse than 46.25% from the field and committed 20 or fewer turnovers.” These 32 games have stayed Under by an average of 15.0 points a game. The Manhattan Jaspers have 15 straight Unders when they are coming off a road game in which they had more turnovers than assists and are facing a team that is not on a losing streak of three or more games. As for Saint Peter’s, the Under is 15-1 when the Peacocks are coming off a home game in which they scored fewer than 18.2 percent of their points from the foul line with the lone Over by two points after TWO overtime sessions. The linemakers rate this one close to a toss-up, and this is relevant because the Under has cashed in seven straight Quakers games when the line is within four points of pick 'em and they are facing a team that has averaged fewer than four blocks, staying Under by a staggering 19.9 points. As for Harvard, we find the Crimson are 0-7 ATS in their last seven when they are off a win as a favorite in which fewer than 45 percent of their baskets were assisted. Grab the generous points.

This is a play-on spot, as the Billikens are 11-0 ATS as a dog off a road game when they are facing a team that is averaging fewer than 20.25 fouls per game. As for VCU, we find that it has a neat performance dichotomy based on the number of assists it recorded in its previous game. The Rams are 7-0 ATS on the road off a home game in which they had more than 15 assists and 0-13 ATS on the road off a home game in which they had fewer than 15 assists. They had 11 assists at home against Dayton on Tuesday, making the play against VCU.

Tonight at the Staples Center the LA Lakers welcome the Memphis Grizzlies who played last night in Sacramento. Last night the Kings beat Memphis 129-125 and now they have to go up against a rested Los Angeles Lakers squad. Can the back court of the Grizzlies hold King James probably not and I see the big men of LA being too much for the Grizzlies. The Lakers ended the first half of the season winning 5 out 6 and again I see big games from James and Davis and I see LA easily winning by double-digits. The Lakers are 5-2 ATS at home against the Grizzlies and the Lakers team defense will be the reason why we cash this ticket.

Monmouth has been struggling lately, losing four of their last six games. However, I think that they will snap out of it here against one of the worst teams in the conference. Monmouth won't be taking this game lightly because of their recent struggles. That includes an embarrassing loss at Niagara on Sunday. They've had to sit on that loss all week and I think that they are going to be ready to play tonight.

2-Unit Play. Take #862 Manhattan (Pk) over St. Peter's (7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21)
Manhattan is coming off its worst weekend of the season, getting blown out on the road by Iona and Siena. However, I think that they will regroup now that they are back home. St. Peter's has been the hottest team in the Metro, winning seven of eight games. However, six of those games were at home! They have not been good at all on the road this year, including a loss at Marist. This is a really young Peacocks team, with three freshmen starters. Road issues are to be expected. And I think that they will hit the wall here against a Jaspers team that is due.

1-Unit Play. Take #866 Dartmouth (+2) over Penn (7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21)
I think that Dartmouth is going to steal a win this weekend and I'm looking to run a little chase system with them over their next several games. This is one of the most experienced teams in the Ivy League and this is a chance for them to get a big win over Penn. The Quakers are without senior starter Ryan Betley. They start two other freshmen and now little-used Ray Jerome is filling in for Betley. I think that Penn is looking ahead to tomorrow's bigger game against Harvard and they could get tripped up here.
