GEORGIA ST. -5
GA. SOUTHERN @ GEORGIA ST. | 2/28 | 7:00 PM EST
Georgia State won by five at Georgia Southern and now is laying the same number at home. The Eagles are 1-6 ATS in their last seven versus winning teams, and I expect that trend to continue Friday night in Atlanta. With Georgia State coming off two straight road losses, expect a huge effort, and a cover, at home.

OVER 236
BROOKLYN @ ATLANTA | 2/28 | 7:30 PM EST
The Hawks have played 11 straight Overs at home when the line is within 3 of pick with rest off a loss as a dog after rebounding less than 20% of their own misses, zooming Over by an average of 19.7 ppg. The Nets have eight straight Overs with rest after playing as a road favorite when they are facing an team that is averaging more than five blocks per game. We make the play the Over on Friday.

7-Unit Play. Take #542 Utah (-10) over Washington* (9 p.m., Friday, February 28)
The Jazz are flailing a little bit right now losers of four in a row so a visit from one of the league's worst teams is just what they need. Utah has dropped all the way to the six spot in the West standings which would match them up with the Clippers in the first round so assuming they want to avoid that battle they need to get back on track. The Wiz are 7-21 on the road and going to Utah is never easy so this one looks like a Jazz run away win so go ahead and lay the number tonight.
2-Unit Play. Take #533 Cleveland (+12.5) over New Orleans (8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28)
This one looks like a look ahead spot. The Pelicans have a big, nationally televised game against the Lakers at home on Sunday. I think they are looking past a pretty bad Cavaliers team and ahead to that game. This is a really young Pelicans team that is still learning how to handle the spotlight. I mentioned how bad the Cavs are. But they have been playing better. They have won four of their last five games, both SU and ATS, and are coming off wins over playoff-caliber teams Philly and Miami. I think they can find a way to hang around and make this number hold up.
Carpe diem. Good luck.
8-Unit Play. Take #534 New Orleans (-12.5) over Cleveland (8 p.m.,* Friday, Feb. 28)
This is a great spot to lay the points on the Pelicans. New Orleans comes into this game off a nine-point loss to the LA Lakers, but that was three days ago so they are rested and ready to get back into the win column. This is also the first home game for New Orleans since Feb. 13th (before the All Star break). New Orleans is just getting better and better as this season goes on and they are going to steam roll the Cavs in this one. Prior to this game the Cavs played the Heat and 76ers at home, and they will play their next five games at home following tonights contest. This is a throw away game for them. When New Orleans gets up big the Cavs are just going to coast to prepare for their lengthy homestand which begins tomorrow night versus the Indiana Pacers. This is the spot we have been waiting for as New Orleans is a sharp play when rested. The Pelicans are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games when playing on two days rest. The Pelicans have also been cash money coming off both an ATS loss and a straight up loss as they are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games coming off a straight up loss and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS loss. Lay the points on the Pelicans in this one as they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as a favorite and 5-0 ATS in their last five games versus Cleveland in New Orleans.

7-Unit Play. Take #55 N.Y. Rangers (+1.5, -165) over Philadelphia**(7:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28)
Quietly, the New York Rangers have moved into a very tight Wild Card race in the Eastern Conference. The club is now 35-24-4 on the season and while the team is only in 7th place in their division New York is only 10 points away from the leader. But the month of February has been kind to the Rangers and the team has been playing their best hockey of the season. Over the stretch the Rangers have won 11 of their last 14 games. More impressing, New York hasn't lost an away game over those contests. New York is also on a 5 game win streak and while the team's defense continues to give up 2 to 3 goals per night their offense has been awesome. Over their last 5 games the team has registered 23 total goals to their opponents while giving up only 12. Philadelphia has been playing awesome hockey at home but the team has had a relatively easy schedule as of late. I not only think the Rangers cover the +1.5 total goals tonight but also win this game in Philadelphia. Take the Rangers +1.5 total goals tonight!

7 Unit Play. Take #62 Vegas -1.5 -115 over Buffalo (10:05p.m., Friday, February 28)
Tonight in Sin City at T-Mobile Arena the hot Golden Knights welcome the Buffalo Sabres to their house. The Golden Knights have won 7-Straight and two nights ago we cashed with the Golden Knights on the puck-line beating Edmonton 3-0 and we will repeat tonight. Vegas last 3 home games all 3 of them have covered the puck-line and the last time we saw Buffalo on the ice they lost on the road to Colorado 3-2. The Golden Knights should have Marc-Andre Fleury in the net tonight and he has won 5-Straight starts and 3 of those starts were covered by the puck-line. Let's also throw in that the last 3 meetings the home team has won and the home team has covered the puck-line. Buffalo is 1-4 in their last 5 games against Western Conference opponents and the Golden Knights are 4-0 against Eastern Conference opponents.
