I'll take my chances here with Seton Hall as a slim 3.5-point home favorite against Villanova. I just think the Wildcats are getting too much love in this one. The Pirates already beat Villanova on the road 70-64 and just knocked off a good Marquette team on the road 88-79.
I just don't see Seton Hall slipping up in this spot. Not only do the Pirates have a shot here to clinch an outright Big East title (would be the first time since 1993), but this is their final home game and that means senior night for one of their best players in program history in Myles Powell. Note that with a road game at Creighton on deck in the finale, they could go from winning the Big East outright to a 3-way tie at the top.
Villanova enters off a 54-58 home loss to Providence and are just 1-3-1 ATS last 5 off a SU loss. They have also gone 1-3-1 ATS last 5 vs a team that's won more than 60% of their games. Pirates are 21-8 ATS last 29 off a win and 20-9 ATS last 29 off 2 or more consecutive covers. Give me Seton Hall -3.5!

So Florida St let Clemson hang around last game and they ended up losing in the final seconds on a late shot. I think that is the perfect wake up call for them here tonight. Notre Dame simply doesn't have the horses they are use to having. The length of FSU is going to be a major problem here for the Irish tonight. Hamilton gets his guys to regroup and come through with a big effort.

I got no problem laying a short number with Virginia. Few teams have been better at covering on the road. The Cavs are 34-16-1 ATS L51 road games overall, 51-25-2 (67%) L 78 conference road games and 11-2 L13 as a road favorite of 6 or less.
I think part of the value here stems from the perception that Virginia will suffer a letdown in what looks like a sandwich game off the big win over Duke and a massive game on deck at Louisville. Thing is that game against the Cards only means something if the Cavaliers win here.
Virginia was left for dead after a 4-4 start in ACC play, but here they are riding a 6-game winning streak and winners of 9 of their last 10 overall. As for Miami, the Hurricanes have lost two straight and could only manage 57 points last time out at Georgia Tech.
Hurricanes are just 6-12 in ACC play and have not been able to knock off one of the top teams in the conference. Their best win is against Clemson, who is 9-9 in league play. Miami is also just 11-21 ATS last 32 as a dog and 0-3-1 ATS last 4 at home after 3 straight on the road. Take Virginia!

The 26-35 New Orleans Pelicans and the 37-25 Dallas Mavericks meet tonight on ESPN and all eyes will be on Zion Williamson (24.2 & 6.9) and and Luka Doncic (28.5-9.7-8.8). Williamson has only played 16 games but is already one of the league's marquee attractions, while Doncic is already an All-Star and has 21 career triple-doubles as he approaches the latter stages of his second season. The Pelicans played shaky defense while sustaining a 139-134 home loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves last night. However, the Pelicans got a quality 'haul' from the Lakers in the A.D. trade in Ingram (24.6-6.2-4.3), Ball (12.0-6.1-7.0) and Hart (10.3 & 6.5). Williamson joins that trio plus Jrue Holiday (19.2-4.8-6.9) and a solid group of role players. However, the Pelicans have "work to do" to reach the postseason (losing at home to the T-wolves doesn't help!), as they are currently not only FOUR games back of the 8th-seeded Grizzlies but they will also have to 'climb over' the Spurs, Blazers and Kings. Dallas suffered a disappointing 109-107 road loss to the Chicago Bulls on Monday to finish with a split of a four-game road trip. Doncic returned from a one-game absence due to a thumb injury to record 23 points and nine assists against Chicago but he connected on just 1-of-8 three-point attempts. Power forward Kristaps Porzingis (19.2 & 9.4) is expected back after sitting out Monday with a knee issue. He is averaging 27.3 points over his past 11 appearances but a problem for Dallas this season has been Doncic missing 13 games and Porzingis, 15. More bad news is that Dallas SG Seth Curry (12.4) could miss his second straight game (back issue) after averaging 32 points over the previous two contests. Too many question marks for Dallas, which is 12-17-1 ATS at home. Take the points. Good luck...Larry

The Avs have NOT allowed more than 2 goals in any of those 7 games. Look for Colorado to dominate on home ice in this one as the Ducks have lost 7 of their past 10 games. Not only that, Anaheim has allowed 4.6 goals per game in those defeats. Based on these stats it would not be a surprise to see a 4-1 or 5-2 type game and we only need a margin of 2 goals here to cash our ticket. The kicker is that the Ducks have one their last two visits here so they have the full attention of the Avalanche for this one and the Avs will dial up payback in a big way. Eastern is on a roll with four straight wins, two that were improbable coming from 27 down to beat Murray State and 13 down to beat Austin Peay in their last two. The Panthers are just 3-10 in the series but snapped a four-game series slide with a 70-69 home win in January. Jax State has won three of four but finished just 8-10 in the OVC, the first time in almost a decade that the Gamecocks were below .500 on conference play. This is a battle of 6 vs. 7 and Eastern will never be in a better spot than they are here.
