      Magic vs. Rockets
      Magic+9½ -109

Play - Orlando Magic (Game 515)

Edges - Magic: 8-2-1 with a .360 or greater win percentage when playing same season revenge from a loss of 20-plus points versus .611 or greater unrested opponents … Rockets: 11-20 ATS as a host in this series … We recommend a 1* play on Orlando. Thank you and good luck as always.

        Lakers vs. Clippers
        UNDER 226

The LA Lakers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in a relatively low-scoring affair Friday night. They're 13-4-1 to the under in their last 18 vs. a team with a winning straight up record, and I think the posted total for Sunday's matchup with crosstown-rival LA Clippers is a bit high.

The Clippers have allowed 99.5 points per game through their last two games, with one of the teams being the high-scoring Houston Rockets.

The under is 6-2 in Clippers last 8 games as a favorite and 14-6-1 in the last 21 head-to-head meetings with the Lakers.

        Free pick on UNDER.

          It's almost over Nebraska fans!

The Cornhuskers are losers of 15 in a row and are just 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 setbacks entering play for Sunday at Williams Arena.

On the year, Nebraska stands at just 7-23 and while Minnesota is just 13-16 this one is a chance for them to take out some of their recent frustrations against a team they will blow out.

Minny has dropped 3 straight and 6 of their last 7, but today in their last game of the regular season expect the Golden Gophers to improve to 11-5 on their home court as they face the defensively-porous Cornhuskers who allow almost 77 points per game for the season.

This will be the only meeting of the season between the teams and the last time Minnesota played Nebraska at home they took care of business both straight up and against the spread as the Gophers have now won 3 of the last 4 both straight up and against the spread on their home floor against the Huskers.

Minnesota should be better than their record shows, but the fact remains they are 13-16 and on the verge of getting shutout of any postseason consideration. Today they put it together and lower the boom of the yielding Cornhuskers.

          Take Minnesota minus the points.

          1* MINNESOTA

That’s now four complimentary winners in the last five days—and nine of 13 in college hoops—after Florida State took care of business against Boston College on Saturday. For Sunday’s freebie, we’ll stay on the college hardwood and lay the points with Michigan State, which hosts Ohio State in the regular-season finale for these Big Ten rivals.

The Spartans and Buckeyes are both riding four-game winning streaks, with Ohio State cashing in all four and Michigan State going 3-1 ATS. But this is one of those instances where not all winning streaks are created equal. See, Ohio State has played three of its last four games at home, with the lone road trip being at Nebraska (which anchors the bottom of the Big Ten standings with Northwestern).

Conversely, Michigan State notched three of its four wins on the road. Yes, one of those victories was at Nebraska, but the last two were at Maryland (78-66) and at Penn state (79-71)—two locks to make the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to their win at Nebraska, Ohio State had been 2-5 SU and ATS in Big Ten road games (and one of those two wins was at Northwestern). And while the Spartans have failed to cover in three successive home games (losing two of them outright to, ironically, Maryland and Penn State), they had previously cashed in six straight in East Lansing.

Speaking of cashing: Michigan State is on a 7-3 ATS roll in this rivalry, winning eight of those 10 games outright. That includes a three-game sweep of Ohio State last year, with a victory at home, on the road and in the conference tournament.

Another reason to like Sparty here: With a win today, they’ll claim at least a share of the regular-season title and have a shot at the No. 1 seed in next week’s conference tourney. With a loss, they could drop all the way to the No. 5 seed.

Throw in the fact that the Buckeyes’ roster could be depleted in this contest—forward Kyle Young (7.5 points, 5.8 rebounds per game) is questionable with an ankle injury, while forward D.J. Carton (10.4 points, 2.8 rebounds per game) is out for personal reasons—and I see Michigan State controlling this game most of the way and pulling away late for the spread-cover.

            3* MICHIGAN STATE

Sunday's complimentary winner comes in the NBA on New Orleans as the road favorite over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Pels just ended a 3-game losing streak by beating the Miami Heat and they should be able to extend their winning ways today against a Timberwolves team that just had their 2 game winning streak halted in a loss to Orlando in a game they allowed 132 points to be scored on them.

These teams played in New Orleans earlier this week and Minnesota pulled the upset win over the Pelicans by a 139-134 tally.

It is payback time for e New Orleans team that has gone 6-1 against the spread when listed as the road favorite this season and they have also covered each of their last 6 games when facing a team with a losing home mark for the year.

Prior to that Tuesday upset loss on their home floor, New Orleans had won the previous pair of series meetings and 3 of the last 4.

The chances of sneaking into the 8th playoff spot definitely took a hit with their recent losing streak, but New Orleans will be able to notch the road win and cover today over Minnesota.

Lay the road wood with the Pelicans.

              4* NEW ORLEANS
