BARONS BOY - Rode this horse on Feb 24th and Guglielmino is right back in the irons this race. A thoroughbred coming back this promptly after a sharp effort is a good omen. ZOE'S PAPA CEE - Stretching a pony out to a route after two sprints is a classic conditioning maneuver. BIG LARRY - I like to bet on this handicapping theory, a thoroughbred coming back off a strong race within the last month or so. Three consecutive improved speed figs (59-61-63) make this animal a solid contender.

BANANA PEPPER - I think this colt is very fit right now. I like the fact that Gorostieta brings him back to a race so quickly. Looking at today's class rating, this horse is encountering an easier group than in the last race at Turfway Park.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 MOONLIGHT BEACH (ML=2/1), #3 CATS VALENTINE (ML=3/1), #2 PASSIONATE VICTOR (ML=6/1),

MOONLIGHT BEACH - Didn't hit the board on January 10th at Santa Anita. Followed it up with another lackluster try. Difficult to wager on any thoroughbred in a sprint contest at 2/1 when he hasn't shown any on the board results in sprints in the last 60 days. CATS VALENTINE - This mount hasn't shown much life in the last couple of contests. This gelding hasn't had any positive efforts in sprint races in the last sixty days. Should be difficult for this animal to beat this bunch off of that last speed fig. Doubtful to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's class figure, so put him on the possibly overvalued equines list. PASSIONATE VICTOR - Today's contest is 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't finished in the money in a sprint event in the last sixty days. Not the best of indicators.
