3-unit play.* #510. Take Over 218.5 Golden State Warriors vs Denver Nuggets. (Tuesday @ 9:00 pm est).

Denver is one of the best teams at home this season with a 24-7 record and are scoring nearly 112 points per game. The Nuggets host a Golden State side who is in transition, scoring just over 105 points per game, but are giving up 114.8. The visitors have won just six games on the road this season and are still without Curry, Green, and Thompson. The Warriors have won just once during their last ten outings, though they snapped a three-game run without scoring over 100 points. The Nuggets come into this game having destroyed Toronto 133-118 and have won three of their last four. Denver is primed to have a big night against a struggling side that is just days away from getting one of their superstars back. Golden State will hope to just try to keep this game close for as long as they can. But we do expect a big number from the host while Golden State does find some success from the floor.

The Rams finally snapped a five-game skid with a blowout win over George Washington. They played one of their best games of the season, shooting 56 percent from the field while forcing 16 turnovers. Still, VCU will likely need to win its last two in order to keep alive any sort of postseason consideration. The Dukes have won two straight but their relatively short bench could be an issue against VCU's defensive pressure. Look for the Rams to pull away.

The Spartans started their revenge tour with a road win against a Maryland team that had beaten them on their home court. Penn State did the same, and it's likely the Lions will receive the same payback. This is tough because, at its best, Penn State is the best team in the Big Ten and has a strong home-court edge. But the Lions have lost three of four, and the Spartans appear ready to follow their annual trajectory of a mid-season slump followed by a blistering finish.

The Celtics won't have Jayson Tatum but Kemba Walker (knee) will play, though his minutes will be limited. Boston is 23-6 at home, including 7-1 SU and ATS in its last eight. The Nets have lost four straight and are playing terrible defense. They're 5-11 ATS in their last 16 road games. Lay it.

Rutgers has won 17 home games this season, most in the nation, and I think the Scarlet Knights snap their three-game skid tonight. They're 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 games at the RAC, this is a desperate spot for them on Senior Night, and they should have an edge on the boards.

The Kings have won and covered five of their last six and they match up well with Washington. The only loss in that stretch was a 4-point defeat at OKC. Sitting 3.5 games out of the final playoff spot, Sacramento knows this is a must-win. Look for the Kings to win a shootout and cover.

Underdog value exists here as the number against the Timberwolves continues to climb based on them having lost 20 of their last 22 games. In fact, their last five defeats have been by double digits. With Zion Williamson healthy and playing well, the Pelicans have become a buy-against team. Expect a fourth straight non-cover for New Orleans. Grab Minnesota.

This game could be for the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament, which would give one of these two teams a bye all the way to the semifinals. Texas State has been playing great basketball down the stretch, going 12-2 in their last 14 games. Over the last 12 games, the Under is 8-4. The Bobcats play at an extremely slow pace with a very solid defense, ranking 92nd in efficiency. Meanwhile South Alabama's pace is below average. With so much at stake we expect a couple of bricks and turnovers. Take the Under.

The Over is 14-3-1 in Wake Forest's conference games. Both teams play at a fast pace and are far better on offense than they are defensively. Wake Forest ranks 66th on offense and 126th on defense. The Demon Deacons have been a cover machine of late as well, going 9-3 ATS. North Carolina's stats are somewhat skewed because of Cole Anthony's extended absence due to a knee injury. Anthony, who has been back for nine games, continues to get better and better. The Tar Heels have gone 2-7 since his return, winning the last two while scoring 85 and 92 points.

I have Bowling Green rated one point higher than Kent State. Bowling Green is 12-4 in conference, tied for first place, and has clinched a bye for the MAC tournament. However the Falcons are coming off a really bad loss to Miami (Ohio), one of the bottom feeders in the MAC. Perhaps they were looking ahead to tonight's game. They'll be seeking revenge against a Kent State team that beat them 79-61 earlier this season. I don't think Bowling Green loses to the Flashes again. Take the Falcons.

Defense, defense and more defense. Both teams rank in the top 20 in adjusted points allowed per possession. Both play at a below-average pace, and Rutgers' offense also is below average. However, the Scarlet Knights have been spectacular defensively at home, allowing just 57.6 points per game.

With four outright defeats in five games, Marquette has slid down the NCAA Tournament totem pole. Now comes an opportunity to reverse course against a foe it has toppled straight-up in eight of the last nine meetings. The Golden Eagles have fared well on the road lately, with four covers in five tries, and are on a 6-1 run as away favorites. DePaul managed just 42 points in its last game without its cornerstone, F Paul Reed (14.9 points, 10.8 rebounds), and he is questionable (hip). The Blue Demons have won once SU in their past 11 games and in the last seven ATS.

Hold on a second. Just because North Carolina posted a pair of wins last week doesn’t mean it has righted the ship through March. Wake Forest also notched two straight-up victories, including a double-overtime shootout with Duke, and is streaking ATS at 12-3. C Olivier Sarr scored a combined 55 points, earning him ACC Player of the Week. If Tar Heels C Armando Bacot (ankle) is unavailable, Sarr can continue his pace. Bacot, the only Tar Heel to start every game, averages 8.1 rebounds and is a defensive force. He did not practice on Monday.

The Golden Knights have been playing great hockey for most of the last month, and they've averaged 3.78 goals per game over their last nine contests. New Jersey has played well recently and hasn't been scoring many goals (2.50 goals per game over their last six), which helps explain the low total in this one. But the Devils still give up the fifth-most goals per game (3.23) in the league. There's a good chance Vegas' offense finds its magic against Jersey and does some damage, so try to take advantage of the low total here.

Don't be tricked by the team trends heading into this one. The Senators have won two straight but are one of the worst teams in hockey. Meanwhile the Penguins have lost six straight, but that's an uncharacteristic stretch for one of the best teams in the league. Look for the Penguins to reset back on home ice against a far inferior opponent. Take the puck line (-122) for decent value.
