I'm sure everybody thought this play was going to be the Gonzaga/San Francisco game but the last time those two team played it was a dead under game. This Semi-Finals game between St. Mary/BYU will be a barnburner and we should see a very fast tempo game with the 3-ball being thrown up all game long. BYU beat St. Mary's in early February 81-79 and that total flew 'Over' and I see this game producing the same amount of points. The Gaels have been treading 'Over' games cashing 4-Straight and the Gaels last conference game they beat Pepperdine 89-82 in overtime and that game went 'Over'. The BYU Cougars are averaging 85.6ppg in their last 3 games and I see BYU taking this game and this game will go 'Over' total. St. Mary's is 7-1 O/U following a SU win and the Gaels are 20-7 O/U last 27 games. BYU is 9-3 O/U following a ATS win and I really thought this total would have been posted around 148-150.

Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the San Francisco Dons take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the Semi-Finals of the WCC Tournament at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV on Monday night. The Dons have posted a 4-1 record to the over in their last five neutral site games and they are an excellent 13-3 to the over in their last sixteen at a neutral site where they were listed as an underdog. They have also gone up and over the number in nine of their last thirteen overall where they were catching points and they are 5-1 to the over in their last six versus a team with a winning % of .500 or higher. The Flames have shot 46.7% as a team over their last 5 games averaging 77.4 points per game while holding their opponents to shooting just 36.2% against them outscoring their opponents by an average of 12 points per game. The Flames have held opponents to shooting just 28.2% against them on the road this season from beyond the arc and I look for them to step up defensively in this game here tonight. We roll with the Under here and though it seems a bit scary here we think there is a decent chance that this game goes Under. Note, that you have a Bucks/Nuggets team that went well over the posted total last time around as the game went to 242 points and the Nuggets won by 12 points on the road and you have to think that the Bucks want some revenge here and quality defense. This is a Bucks team that cranks out a huge defensive effort when they need to and I suspect that is what will happen here after they gave up 130 points last game. Plus, the Bucks just lost 131-140 to the Suns which has to infuriate the team in the fact they not only lost but also gave up a staggering 140 points. Note, the Bucks were likely hungover from the Lakers game where they lost by 12 points in that game and then they lost immediately after to the Suns and now have to face a tough Nuggets team. I think Milwaukee understands they do not want to lose 3 in a row, will show up big time on defense here, have Boston on deck and then you combine this with Denver coming off a loss to the lowly Cavs as well and what you likely get here is a strong defensive performance by both teams as this game goes under

I would like OU EVEN if this game were at a neutral setting but it’s at home. The Bobcats finished 6-3 down the stretch while Central was 1-9 their last 10 games beating only Western Mich at home. The Chippewas are one of the fastest paced teams but their defense is weak and away from home they only shoot 40.2% while allowing 46.3%. At home Ohio shots 47% while allowing 42.2%.

We are rolling with the Oilers at home as a small favorite. This is a great spot for them as Vegas comes in off a win and 2nd game of a back to back in what is a tough Alberta road trip. The Oilers just loss to Vegas recently 3-0 in Vegas so they will be looking for some revenge at home. Fluery is likely to get the start for Vegas and he has been struggling as of late which is why they went out and got Lehner at the deadline. Fluery has allowed 14 goals in his last 4 starts and 8 goals in his last two games started. Now he faces an explosive Oilers offense at home. Vegas has struggled on the road as an underdog all season. The fact that the Oilers now are 2 games back of Vegas for the division, have revenge, and playing at home, I will take the Oilers to get the job done as they will get up for this game. Golden Knights are 7-22 in their last 29 games as a road underdog. Oilers are 4-1 in their last 5 games as a home favorite. Oilers are 12-5 in their last 17 vs. a team with a winning record.

Now that there is quite a high 1H total for the Hornets on the road....facing the Hawks who have gone Under 3 consecutive to open the month of March, have lingering injury concerns every single night interrupting any kind of cohesion they may be able to concoct, and the Hornets have really stepped it up a notch.
Charlotte is near the tops lately with just a 104 def. rating in the 1H with one of the slower paces in the NBA and also with an offense that leaves a lot to be desired...even against a Hawks team that sure does not relish playing on the defensive end. However, last 5 games (which include the 3 Unders) they have really improved the defense early in games....with a 10 point def. efficiency improvement over their second half performances. Few of these games have gone well, but every team is in the game in the beginning, at least for a bit...likely the boon on defense. Hawks games have been hitting right at ~110 for 1H of late, with the Hornets under this...and the split is not correct for either defense for Vegas to hang a 115/109 1H/2H split.
These 2 teams should finish the first quarter in the 20s and hopefully we cruise from there...but the value here is solid, plus John Collins helps eliminate a ton of easy paint buckets for Washington et al. 104 for the 1H in the one meeting this season so far!
