      NBA | Celtics vs Pacers
Play on: Celtics -3 -105 at pinnacle

Jack’s Free Pick Tuesday: Boston Celtics -3
Injuries are taking their toll on the Indiana Pacers right now. They are without Jeremy Lamb and Malcolm Brogdon and could be without Victor Oladipo, who is questionable tonight. They won’t be able to hang with the Celtics in this one.
Boston comes in highly motivated for a victory after losing two straight and four of its last five in tough fashion. The Celtics have an OT loss and three other losses by 1, 1 and 5 points. They simply haven’t gotten it done in close games, but they will make amends tonight.
I like to fade teams that are in spots like the Pacers are tonight. They return home from a five-game road trip. There’s always distractions players have to deal with when they return home from a long trip, and it tends to show up in their performances in that first home game back.
Boston is 20-10-1 ATS in all road games this season. The Celtics are 9-1 ATS in road games off a loss this season. Boston is 8-0 ATS in road games off two consecutive non-conference games. The Pacers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage above 60%. Bet the Celtics Tuesday.

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Rotation #45 Tuesday Free Pick Tampa Bay Lightning Money Line (-) @ Toronto Maple Leafs @ 7:05 ET - The Lightning are off an upset loss at Detroit on Sunday. That was after their big win at Boston Saturday and was a flat spot plus they used their back-up goalie. Now Andrei Vasilevskiy will be back between the pipes for this one. He is having a huge season and has won 3 of his last 4 starts and allowed an average of just 2 goals per game during this stretch. Prior to this strong 4-game run he had an ugly effort on home ice against these Maple Leafs and took the loss. This is a revenge game for Vasilevskiy and the Bolts. Also, the road team has now won 5 straight meetings between these teams. Toronto has lost 3 straight games and is playing their first game back east after a west coast road trip. Free Pick TAMPA BAY

          **24-8 (75%) ALL FREE PICKS 2020**
The Philadelphia Flyers are NHL-best 25-5-4 home at Wells Fargo Center, but I think they're in trouble here as they host one of the strongest road teams in the league.
The Bruins are 13-4 in their last 17 vs. a team with a winning record and the Flyers could be due for a clunker after reeling off a season-best nine straight triumphs.
Boston on the other hand will be looking to bounce back from a 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay, a defeat that put an end to a four-game winning streak.
          Free pick on Boston Bruins.

DMack's Free Play for Tuesday, March 10, 2010 is on the Iona Gaels
Iona is an unusual story. They won this tournament the last four years but played the year without their real coach (out with illness) and rang up their first losing conference record since 2009. The Gaels have won four straight in the series including sweeping both games this year and are 11-4 straight up in the L15 of the series. Iona has lost its last three but those were by two points or less and in OT. The Gaels are a veteran bunch that haven't lost a first-round game in the MAAC since 2010. They find a way here.

                1* on Chicago Bulls -3.5
The Key: The Chicago Bulls are coming off 3 straight losses by 7 points or less. The Bulls will be hungry for a victory tonight when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bulls are getting healthy with the recent returns of Markkanen, Carter Jr. and Porter Jr. They should take down a Cleveland Cavaliers team that is missing Tristan Thompson, Darius Garland and Kevin Porter Jr. The Cavaliers have lost 7 of their last 9 road games. The Bulls are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 home games after losing 4 of their last 5 games. The Bulls are 13-5 ATS in the last 18 matchups. Take Chicago.

10* FREE NBA PICK (Bulls -3.5)
I'll take my chances here with Chicago as a slim 3.5-point home favorite against the Cavs. The Bulls come in having lost 3 straight, but were competitive in all 3, as the largest loss was by 7 points and two of those were on the road. While LaVine is still sidelined for Chicago, they have got several key guys back from injury here recently, including the likes of Markkanen, Carter Jr and Porter Jr. They are also giving more minutes to rookie Coby White, who is averaging 24.3 ppg and 6.7 apg over their last 3.
While Bulls are getting healthier, Cleveland's had several key guys go down here of late. They aren't expected to have Tristan Thompson, Darius Garland or Kevin Porter Jr for this one. They really only got 7 guys in the rotation and that figures to be a problem on the road playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. Plus their last game went to OT (6 players played 33 or more minutes). Give me the Bulls -3.5!

The San Antonio Spurs should be playing with a chip on their shoulder tonight. They have lost all three meetings with Dallas all by 7 points or less this season. They desperately want to avoid getting swept 4-0 in the season series. Both teams have some injury problems, but the cumulative injuries for the Mavericks are worse, and Luka Doncic is questionable to play tonight as he battles a nagging wrist injury. The Spurs are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 home games off two or more straight losses. San Antonio is 15-7 ATS in its last 22 games as a home underdog. Give me the Spurs.

Play on: Ducks -129 at pinnacle

The weekend saw Ben Burns nail both his March College Hoops "GAME OF THE MONTH" and his March "TOTAL OF THE MONTH." His GOM/TOM selections are now a PERFECT 10-0 ON THE SEASON as he was 2-0 in November, December, January, February AND March! Ben's "free plays" have also fared well. Off yesterday's 50+ point winner (Atl/Char over) they're 17-5 (77%) since Christmas. Here, he looks to improve on that record with a play on tonight's Ottawa/Anaheim game:
The Ducks' home record (15-19) may not seem very impressive. However, its far better than Ottawa's 7-25 mark on the road. Given those numbers, this price could easily be higher, in my opinion. The Sens are an ugly 2-13 when playing with two day's rest in between games. While the Sens play tomorrow, the Ducks get a few days off after this. They should leave it all on the ice here, taking advantage of an opponent which they know they can beat. Consider Anaheim

My free winner for tonight is on the Iona Gaels minus the points against the Canisius Golden Griffins. It hasn't been the most glorious - or typical - season for Iona, but in this opening round game, at home, I like the Gaels to prevail.

They have five players who average double figures, and that'll be tough for the Griffins to match or overcome. The Gaels rank fourth in the conference with 70.6 points per game scored. They're led by Tajuan Agee, who scores a team-best - and league sixth-high - 14.7 points per game. He also ranks fourth in the league with 7.4 rebounds per game.

Part of that five-man mix that registers double digits is junior Isaiah Washington, who recently recorded the third triple-double in Iona men's basketball history with a 14-point, 11-assist, 10-rebound effort at Canisius on Feb. 27.

Neither team has been impressive this season, but I can tell you Iona is more talented and playing at home.

                            Lay the trey.

I will tell you what it means to me....it means the oddsmakers are setting a good old-fashioned trap and I am not falling into that trap!

Take Boston tonight to end their funk.

The C's are 19-12 straight up on the road this year, and are also 20-10-1 against the spread in those road affairs, covering 4 of their last 5 times when they have been installed as the road favorite.

The Pacers did win the first series meeting in December at home over the Celtics, but my money will be on Boston to avenge that loss. Remember, the Celtics did eliminate the Pacers in last year's postseason in a 4 game sweep.

Take Boston to snap out of their funk with the road win and cover tonight.

Tuesday night comp play is in the NBA as the Houston Rockets get out of the funk they have been in and hammer the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Houston has yet to record a win in the month of March, as they were stunned by the Knicks in New York on the 2nd of this month and have followed that loss with setbacks to the Clippers, the Hornets and the Magic. With a game up next versus the Lakers on Thursday in Los Angeles, Houston better take care of business tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves!

Minny is just 19-44 on the year and come into this game with back-to-back home losses both straight up and against the spread in their last pair of games.

The Wolves are also just 4-22 straight up the last 26 times they have faced the Rockets. That mark includes 13 straight losses in Texas that dates back to the 2012 season!

Houston has won and covered all 3 series meetings between the teams this year and they cover again tonight.

Rockets achieve blast-off at home on Tuesday as they end their ugly 4 game slide with a 20 point rout of the Timberwolves.
