ZAHRA - This filly ran well in her last race but just couldn't haul in the winner. Note that she was well in front of the third horse, and looks like a major contender in this field. Dropping in class figure points from her Aug 18th race at Golden Gate Fields. Based on that data, I will give this thoroughbred the edge. When a thoroughbred drops at least 5 pounds (like this one is), you must take notice. It may not seem like much, but should be helpful. Maiden is switching to the main track, and may not have liked the turf last out. Has a good chance to break maiden. I like the fact that this filly's last speed rating, 72, is tops in this group. DARLING DEMON - I think the shorter trip will help this filly stay the distance. That 72 fig this filly earned in her last event tells me she's a main player in today's event. Trainer Moger moves this horse down the class scale to face a lower rated field. Look for a strong race given the class advantage. PAMMI DEAREST - Faced tougher last out at Santa Anita. Based on class ratings, this is a weaker bunch, so I will put this horse on my list of strong contenders.

CIVIL SUIT - The finish of sixth in the last race shows me that this horse may be getting out of condition. THUNDER WOMAN - Awfully hard to wager on this horse when she hasn't been showing any signs of readiness recently.
