    #2
    Brian Nadeau's Daily Picks

    Fonner Park - Race #2
#8 Silver's Swan Song Stretch runner was 3rd behind the chalk last time while rallying too late, but today meets a field with a ton of speed, which means she can easily make up the 2 lengths, at what will be a much better price as well; mows them all down in the lane.
#7 Ta Kela Warning Class dropper has been facing much better, so this group make wake her up, and she's another who will like all the speed here, though she bombed last time, and now leaving Diodoro means further regression could be coming; still, plenty scary.
#2 Zyxyz Price player was 4th to a few of these last time but had a tough trip, in that she had to duel between horses, but she still held well late, and with more confirmed speed here, she should return to his stalking ways, which could be key; not impossible.
Race Summary Pace makes the race and there's plenty of it here, and the 8 is getting all the best of it, so play him to win and place, as well as in the early Pk5, and kick off the early Pk4 as well, since the two favorites (including the unmentioned 6) will get the majority of the play here, which means a win in the 4-1 range will knock a lot of tickets out.
    Fonner Park - Race #6
#5 I Call Shotgun Class riser aired at short odds against lesser, but did it the right way, has a stalking gear to sit off the speed, and doesn't meet much here; call right back.
#6 E Lee Intriguing sort was 3rd to the pick last time in a real wakeup effort, and while the 25-1 is long gone, there will still be value here; exotics price contender.
#7 Witt'sadollaranight ML favorite was 2nd at the level last time, and that alone makes him a threat, but it was also at two turns, so the cutback may be a bit sharp; tread lightly.
Race Summary This isn't the type of level or group where a rise in class should be all that tough, especially with the way the 5 did it last time, and with a potentially sketchy favorite too, so play him aggressively to win and place, while getting some added value by keying him in the late Pk5, and to kick off the late Pk4 a well, as he looks to be primed to double up.
    Fonner Park - Race #8
#1 Racey Reecey Dangerous newcomer hasn't been out since September but was facing much better at Remington, has the tactical speed to sit anywhere, meets a modest local group, and note new trainer Compton is 2-for-7 off this elongated beak; thinking she's very live.
#3 A Bunch for Lunch Stalker looked good slightly lesser last time, and likely won't have to run much faster to beat this crew, and it's never a bad thing when you enter off a win in these low-level claimers, plus there's a chance she offers some fair value as well; huge chance.
#10 Honey Hearts Deserving favorite drops out of much tougher, including a stakes two-back, but note both her last two runs were solid and close finishes, so to see her in for 5k is a worry, not to mention she's marooned out wide with two turns to negotiate; making her prove it.
Race Summary That 12-1 ML on the 1 is laughable, as she may be 4-1 here, but even so, off the drop, with a solid new trainer, she's a big player here if ready, so play her in all the slots, and especially the late Pk5/Pk4, as just maybe that bad line scares them off, and she offers more value in both sequences than her off odds show.

      #3
      Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

      Fonner Park - Race #1
#7 Itybityquikasakity Local form has been solid enough, and the two-turn local effort last out might do the trick today if she can run back to it.
#4 Witts Data Link Has had 15 chances, so she's a bit tough to trust on top right now, but her local debut fits in this spot and she has run well enough against some better groups. She can win this, but she's a principled stand against.
#3 D L's Girl Fading debut effort is something she can build on in this second trip to post, but the 9/2 ML offering might be a bit short for her realistic chances of winning this.
Race Summary Itybityquikasakity turned in the kind of effort last out that would probably be enough to score today, and he has that early pace to find a good spot out of the gate.
      Fonner Park - Race #4
#6 Wild Blue Kiss Taking a little shot here despite this filly getting crushed in stakes company last out, but of the three lined up here who ran in that stakes race, her 7th-place effort was the best of the bunch. Not impossible at a number.
#2 Possibly in Love Hasn't done much wrong in three career starts, but I wonder if she might be just the slightest bit better around one turn than two, and she figures overbet here.
#4 Hold Fast Kat Solid finishing effort got her home in the last, but getting all the way over the top seems at least a little bit out of reach for her, so I'll limit her underneath.
Race Summary Wild Blue Kiss looks interesting and figures to offer a fair price. She can get a decent run from close range and should get a bit overlooked on the tote.
      Fonner Park - Race #5
#2 Perfect Line Didn't fire last time out, but he has tended to bounce back from poor races in the past and is capable of something much better than the fade job at 4/5 last out.
#3 Emma's Logic No clue who is going to show up, as this guy has now run two poor races locally, but his back form has running lines that would be very competitive here if he can snap out of it.
#4 My Perfect Graydar Not much passing ability at this 4f trip, but this guy is one of the few who can grind on late and outfinish some horses.
Race Summary Form cycles are all over the place in this race, so this one is mostly a guess of who might run a less bad race today than the others. Perfect Line was really not good at 4/5 last time out, but the prior form makes him very tough if he can bounce back today.

        Jerry Shottenkirk's Daily Picks

Will Rogers Downs - Race #3
#3 Jestaboutright Was impressive in her 1st of the year, which came over this strip last month; jockey Benny Landeros clearly fits her well. New off-the-pace running style moves her up significantly.
#2 Zapit Ran vs. top-flight Oklahoma-breds last fall at Remington and won the Oklahoma Classic Lassie in easy form; make her 1st of the year and has the class to be an immediate factor.
#6 Shanghai Sally Was 2nd in an allowance in her 1st over the strip and she's already shown an ability to adjust to pace. Dangerous.
Race Summary Jestaboutright can benefit from having had a good start at Will Rogers, has enough speed to stay close and has enough of a late move to be effective when and where it counts the most.
Will Rogers Downs - Race #7
#3 Wilky G Ran a good 2nd on the dirt at Houston two races back and then just didn't adapt to the turf; has a good closing move and can be the one to hold off here.
#4 Totally Tiger Comes in from California, where she was 3rd vs. Cal-breds at Santa Anita; has some good races on his form and came and could run on well late.
#7 Mayfair Heights Has a bullet work to his credit and looks ready for his 1st attempt; bred to scoot and is not in a bad spot for a debut.
Race Summary Wilky G has some good dirt performances and can run on late in the game.
Will Rogers Downs - Race #9
#5 New Year's Love Ran well in three races last year and has good works to her credit; has led in all of her races and should be difficult to catch here.
#11 Vallestina Won a N3L race last out at Santa Anita and will be troublesome in her return; ran in some very tough races in California and can be tough in her 1st over this strip.
#10 Shallow River Has won three of her last two, including her only start over this track; was a good find for $10,000 at Delta and should be a factor.
Race Summary New Year's Love can mix it up with any of these early and likely will welcome this 5.5-furlong distance in her 1st back. Romped in her only WRD start last year.

FOR MAIDENS, THREE YEARS OLD. WEIGHT, 122 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $15,000.

              RECOMMENDED CHOICES
              # 6 WILLY SPECIAL CATS 5/2
              # 10 REBEL RUMBLE 5/1
              # 9 ROLLIN RIVER 6/1
WILLY SPECIAL CATS looks to be a competitive contender. Has to be given a shot against this field displaying strong figures as of late and an average speed rating of 58 under similar conditions. Have to take a chance on this gelding with the formidable earnings per start in dirt route events. The drastic drop in company can only help out this one this time around. REBEL RUMBLE - Should definitely be considered in this competition if only for the solid Equibase Speed Fig recorded in the last contest. Solid profits have been scored by players using this rider and trainer duo recently.

                Fonner Park - Race #1 - Post: 4:00pm - Maiden Special - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $6,400 Class Rating: 56

                Rating:

                #4 WITTS DATA LINK (ML=5/2)
                #5 TICKER (ML=6/1)
                #7 ITYBITYQUIKASAKITY (ML=7/2)

WITTS DATA LINK - I do like the fact this filly is back in a race so quickly. Lower weight assigned of -5. In my opinion, a movement of five is important, so this filly falls into this category. TICKER - I think this filly is ready to run a good one. She's had enough outings since the vacation and should be fit. ITYBITYQUIKASAKITY - This horse could be tough this race, especially since Bethke rode in the last race and now should be familiar with this one. This filly ran well in her last race but just couldn't catch the winner. Note that she was well clear of the 3rd horse, and looks like a major contender in this field. This filly garnered a strong speed rating of 40 in her last clash. That rating should be good enough to score this time. This filly should be in fine condition, this far into her form cycle.

                Vulnerable Contenders: #3 D L'S GIRL (ML=9/2), #1 GOODNESS CAT (ML=6/1), #6 EYES ON BEHOLD (ML=8/1),

D L'S GIRL - Not likely that the rating she registered on March 30th will hold up in this event. GOODNESS CAT - Didn't show much run last time. Probably won't make an impact in today's race. EYES ON BEHOLD - The Brain always tells me to keep away from horses in sprint affairs that haven't hit the board in sprint affairs lately. In the last race this steed finished fifth. Doesn't look good for her chances this time around. Improbable that the speed figure she notched on Mar 30th will be good enough in this event.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: #4 WITTS DATA LINK is going to be the play if we are getting 3/1 or better
                EXACTA WAGERS: 4 with [5,7]

                TRIFECTA WAGERS:
                Box [4,5,7] Total Cost: $6
