The Maple Leafs got a much better effort from their top stars in Game 2, and that made a world of difference. However, it wasn't a good showing by the Blue Jackets, and I would anticipate a much stronger one on Thursday. The price is a bit inflated for Toronto, especially when it's without a top defenseman in Jake Muzzin (undisclosed). Columbus has good value on the money line.

Toronto finally broke through with some offense and looked like the much better team in the last game. But it wasn't a strong performance from the Blue Jackets and the game still stayed Under the total, thanks in large part to a tremendous performance from Joonas Korpisalo. The Blue Jackets, who rely on a gritty defensive approach, should bring a stronger effort in Game 3. As such, goals should be hard to come by.

Both of these teams have offensive talent but they also play tight, hard-nosed defense and get solid goaltending. I expect this game to be a tough, grind-it-out contest that has relatively minimal scoring.

We will always take big plus money in what we believe is a game that will be very close and maybe go to OT. The Leafs after their 3-0 victory in Game 2 are now laying minus 150, that is just too much, and we will gladly take advantage in this spot. HC Tortorella was pissed about how his team played and you can guarantee they will have a better effort tonight. Columbus is also the home team and they get last change, this gives Torts who he wants on the ice against certain lines. The fact that Toronto will be without D Jake Muzzin gives us just another reason to be on the underdog here. We will take plus 130 all day long in any coin flip, as the Leafs will have to show that same intensity to win this one. We say that does not happen.
So lets get the job done with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

We had the Blue Jays for the first half at plus money yesterday so we will have another first half play today with the Arizona Diamondbacks at a decent price of pk. The starting pitchers for todays game are for the Astros RH Brandon Bielak (2-0, 1.69 ERA) and he will face RH Zac Gallen (0-0, 2.70 ERA) Bielak has pitched well for the Astros coming out of the bullpen and as we all know starting is a different animal. The Diamondbacks offense put up 14 runs yesterday and we like the confidence this club will have going uip against the 24 yr old rookie. As for Gallen, he has pitched well and he is a guy we like to have a big year in this short schedule. This will be the first time the Astros' roster has ever faced Gallen, and we like having this edge especially when betting a First Half line. We will look for Gallen to shut down the Astros long enough for us to cash.
So lets get the job done with the Arizona Diamondbacks First Half line

We had Portland in their last game as our 5% NBA SLUM DUNK release and they were an OR winner for us. Today they catch Denver on a back to back and even though we lost with the Magic the other day on a back to back we like the Trail Blazers to jump on the Nuggets right from the start. Portland needs to win these games and if they can punch the Nuggets right in the mouth from the start, they might find a disinterested club who had a tough fought victory last night. Denver might need a half to get their legs and we will take advantage. We will lay the bucket for the first half here.

Blue Jays starter Nate Pearson is on his way to becoming a household name. He has an arm like a cannon and has multiple pitches he can throw with success.Pearson is a beast on the mound and his stature will intimidate batters for the next decade.This should be a great battle between two young pitchers.Atlanta is dealing with a few injuries and I like the Blue Jays chances as the small road dog.Take Toronto.Comment
