The Clippers are simply better than the Blazers. L.A. is 2-0 against Portland this season, with wins by six and 20 points, and have an elite defense that can shut down the Blazers' prolific backcourt. My model says the Clippers cover almost 60 percent of the time, so you're getting value at this price. I love L.A.

The Padres are a big favorite on Saturday largely because of pitcher Chris Paddack (2-0, 2.65 ERA), but Arizona's Merrill Kelly (1-1, 2.63) has been just as good. Last season he was 3-1 with a 3.71 ERA in five starts against San Diego. My model says the D-backs win more than 50 percent of the time, so you're getting strong value at this number.

This is a team that is very capable of scoring and I believe will do so out of the gates early today. Take the Indians.

They are going to have an uphill battle against such a scorching-hot team.
