The Astros lineup is one of the best in baseball versus left-handed pitching. Houston starter Brandon Bielak has solid numbers thus far but he has been a little luckier than his stats suggest. Giants lefty Tyler Anderson also has been lucky in 2020, with an ERA of 2.19 despite more walks than strikeouts. Look for both pitchers to revert to the mean Tuesday and give up plenty of runs to send this game Over the total.

Chicago's Gio Gonzalez has been extremely unlucky so far in 2020, so I'm not going to have a knee-jerk reaction about the 34-year old lefty, who posted a 3.50 ERA and 4.04 FIP with Milwaukee last year. Batted balls in play have resulted in an opponents' average of .425 this season, and the mark against Gonzalez in his career is .295. His HR/FB percentage is 21, whereas his career mark is just 9.6 percent. Detroit's Tyler Alexander makes his first start of 2020 following four relief appearances, including one on Aug. 2 in which the 26-year-old southpaw struck out nine straight hitters. I'm not going to make a knee-jerk reaction here either. I have Chicago's offense 20 cents better than Detroit versus left-handed starters.

Kansas City's Kris Bubic jumped from High Single-A last year to the big leagues. He's been extremely lucky in his first few starts, but now that opponents have more intel on his pitches, the numbers will start to balloon. Opponents' batting average on balls in play is now .240, and his 2.7 walks per nine innings will go up. Bubic has solid potential but is not ready for major-league hitters. Cincinnati's Luis Castillo has been extremely unlucky so far in 2020. He's been one of my favorite pitchers over the last two years because I could always bet him early and come back late to earn on my money. Kansas City's offense ranks in the top 10 in wOBA & wRC versus right-handers.
