My projections see the Thunder bouncing back Thursday and tying their series 1-1 against the Houston Rockets. My numbers see Oklahoma City winning outright more than 55 percent of the time and covering the number nearly 60 percent of the time. Houston torched the nets for 20 3-pointers in the opener, and the cold-shooting Thunder never recovered from an early onslaught. But look for Chris Paul to lead a balanced attack in Game 2 of what should be an ultra-tight series.

The Heat are deeper and more versatile than the Pacers as currently constructed, and Indiana has no answer for Bam Adebayo. He was plus-23 in Game 1. Also In Game 1, the Pacers shot 42 percent from deep and still lost by a dozen. Expect Duncan Robinson to heat up in Game 2 as Miami gets another cover.

OKC's Chris Paul padded his stats in the fourth quarter, but Game 1 was evidence of something that should have been obvious coming into this series: this is a terrible matchup for CP3. Paul's pick-and-roll game relies on hunting for big men, either in switches where he can blow by them or in drop coverage where he can pull up for easy mid-range looks. The Rockets don't have big men for him to hunt, and as Paul goes, the Thunder go.

The Blazers are one of the hottest teams in the NBA since the restart, and they are very confident they can take a commanding 2-0 series lead with another huge upset here. The Blazers may not win this game outright, but they will keep it close. Damian Lillard is going to give his team a chance to win again, and I haven't really liked what we have seen from the Lakers in the NBA bubble. The Blazers have been in playoff mode since the restart while the Lakers coasted into the playoffs.

Clayton Kershaw is in great form right now. Kershaw has regained his fastball, which really sets up his curveball. Kershaw is 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA in three career starts vs Seattle. The Dodgers hitters are starting to heat up and should be able to give Kershaw the run support needed for the W. Los Angeles has won seven of their last eight interleague games. The Mariners are one of the worst teams in baseball, having dropped seven of their last eight games overall and nine of their last 11 meetings vs the Dodgers

The Cleveland Indians continue to pitch well and win games despite their struggles at the plate. This is a very favorable matchup for Cleveland. Shane Bieber is 4-0 with a 1.30 ERA and has struck out at least eight batters in each start. The Pirates have won just twice in their last 15 games overall and they are 1-12 their last 13 interleague games. Cleveland has won seven straight on the road.

The Blazers might be a bad defensive team, but they somehow held the Lakers to 93 points during their win in Game 1. I still think the Lakers are the superior team and will win this series, but they haven’t played well in Orlando. Meanwhile, the Blazers have won seven of their 10 games inside the bubble and none of their three losses were by more than five points. Even if they don’t win, I think they keep this close enough to where I like taking the points.
