Against the Spread Pick
This has the look of a closeout game for L.A. They finally unlocked Paul George in game five and there are so many question marks for the Mavericks right now. Also, in the blowout in game five the Clippers finally got close to a regular-season performance from Montrezl Harrell, who had 19 points and 11 rebounds. That is a very good sign if they are going to be a title contender because players not named Kawhi Leonard have been very inconsistent. This is the biggest line of the series but it correlates to L.A. looking the most like what we thought they would be. For Dallas less so. As this is being written the status of Kristaps Porzingis is still uncertain and even though they won a game without him, it is a challenge trying to win without your second-best scorer. A challenge made even greater by the fact that Luka Doncic is inured too. If it weren’t the playoffs the young star would probably take a week or two away from the game. This Dallas team might be a team on the rise but this looks like the beginning of the end for this season. I am fading them here even though it is the largest spread of the series.

Over Under Pick
I am sure it got everyone’s attention that the Clippers scored more than 150 points in the recent win. They are a very capable offensive team and Dallas’s commitment to defense is not very high. One thing of note from that game is that L.A. made 22 of 35 three-point field goals. That is insanely hot shooting unlikely to occur again. Throw in Dallas’s limitations and the fact that the effort might not be there late in an elimination game and I think the under is the play here.
