The Stars are a very dangerous hockey team right now, and with the absence of starting goalie Philipp Grubauer, the Avalanche are done. Dallas is the stronger and more physical team. The Stars have more depth offensively and did a great job breaking down Colorado’s defense in the past couple of games, scoring 10 goals. The Stars have won six of their last seven overall while scoring 29 goals. Colorado has dropped six of its last seven meetings vs. Dallas and the Avs are in trouble here.

The Islanders were fantastic in Game 1 and are now 4-0 vs the Flyers this year. New York is allowing the second-fewest shots on goal in the playoffs and Semyon Varlamov became the first Islanders goalie to post consecutive playoff shutouts. The Isles were more physical than the Flyers in the first game and look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. Philadelphia goalie Carter Hart is going to have to play better. Barry Trotz is doing an excellent coaching job and his playoff experience is paying off.
