7-Unit Play - #965-966 Baltimore/Toronto GAME TOTAL OVER 10.5 (Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 7:00 PM
Take Baltimore/Toronto GAME TOTAL OVER as my top MLB pick for Saturday. This pic falls into one of my top MLB systems and I have this game flying over the posted total here tonight given the way these two teams match up against each other. The over/under is 10-3-2 in Toronto's last 15 games one favoured in the over/under is 6-2 for Toronto in their last eight home games one facing a righty starter. Taijuan Walker makes his first start for the Blue Jays and he has given up 4 homeruns over his last 3 starts including 3 homeruns in his last start. Toronto has hit .297 as a team lifetime against Alex Cobb with an on base percentage of .347 and slugging percentage of .513. So play the OVER here Saturday as we move to 8-1 on the MLB season with my top plays rated 7-Units or higher.
2-Unit Play. Take #954 St. Louis (-125)over Cleveland (1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29)
The Cardinals lost 12-4 at home last night after getting swept in a doubleheader on Thursday. I think they are going to snap their three-game losing streak today behind Jack Flaherty. He has been excellent in his two starts this year posting a 1.98 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP. He came back from injury and was excellent in his last start, allowing just one hit over five innings. I think he'll shut down the Indians here.
7-Unit Play. Take 'Under' 8.5 Los Angeles Dodgers at Texas (7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29)
These two teams combined for just eight runs last night. I see another low-scoring game today. The Rangers have gone 'under' two straight and four of five. The Dodgers have gone 'under' in two straight and five of eight. Lance Lynn has been one of the top pitchers in the Majors this year. He has a 1.59 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 45 innings of work. He has gone 'under' in two of his last three starts and hasn't allowed more than two runs in any start this year. The Dodgers are going with Ross Stripling. He has an ERA over 5.00. I think he will work to get that down. He had just a 3.47 ERA in 15 starts last year and just a 3.02 ERA in 21 starts in 2018. The 'under' is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings between these two teams and the 'under' is 7-1 in the last eight meetings in Texas. Take the 'under' here.
3-Unit Play. Take #977 San Francisco (+125) over Arizona (8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29)
I like the value on the road team here. The Giants swept Arizona last week. I think they can get a win here and even up this weekend series. Trevor Cahill is on the mound for the Giants. This is Cahill's seventh team since 2015. He is trying to stick. He has been very good in his two starts and has just a 1.64 ERA on the season. The Giants are 7-3 in their last 10 games, 7-3 in their last 10 games against the Diamondbacks and 7-3 in their last 10 games in Arizona. Take the underdog here.
7-Unit Play. Take #25 Philadelphia (-105) over NYI (7:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug.29)
The New York Islanders will play the Philadelphia flyers today in their 3rd game of the series. Both teams have gotten a win over the first two games with the previous one coming in overtime Wednesday night. The Flyers tied the series up with a goal from Phillippe Myers 2:40 into overtime. Similar to the Tampa Bay game last night, I think momentum follows the Flyers tonight after that win. Philadelphia has been superb over their first 11 games of the playoffs and while this series may go 7 games, I think Philadelphia gets the win tonight. In game 1 of this contest the Islanders had 22 blocked shots compared to the 10 from Philadelphia. Game 2 was a different story where the Flyers had 17 block shots to New York's 13. I think the Flyers found out how they can beat this Islander team and will play a similar style tonight. Hart is still playing at a high level where he is 7-3 in the playoffs and holds a 1.97 GAA. The club overall is averaging only 2.09 GA in the 11 playoff games. Mind you, this was with 3 of those games going 4 goals or more. Look, the Flyers have the better offense and are just as good on defense as the Islanders. The club is better on the penalty kill and power play. Look for the momentum to carry I for the Flyers after the overtime game. Take the Flyers in game 3!

6 Unit Play. Take #978 Arizona -135 over San Francisco (8:10p.m., Saturday Aug 29)
Tonight at Chase Field I see the Arizona Diamondbacks getting two straight from their division rival the San Francisco Giants. Last night the D-Backs won 7-4 snapping a 9 game losing streak and tonight I see the snakes winning B2B games. Trust me I'm no fan of D-Backs starter Luke Weaver who lost to the Giants in San Fran 6-1 a week ago but tonight this game is in Arizona and I see Weaver pitching much better. Trevor Cahill has pitched well for the Giants as of late but the Giants are 1-6 following a loss and the D-Backs are 8-3 in their last 11 home games. Keep an eye out for this number could drop all day long and I don't see this number climbing higher than -140.
7-Unit Play: Take 7634 A. Almirola -110 over Kyle Busch (7:30 p.m., Saturday, August 29)
Kyle Busch is still looking for his first win of the entire 2020 campaign as we head into the Cup Series' regular season finale. Unfortunately for Kyle, this hasn't been his favorite track. He's finished inside the top-14 once in his last seven races at Daytona and 20th or worse in five of those. Kyle has one win at Daytona but the win came long ago, on July 5, 2008. Aric Almirola, finally in elite equipment this season, cannot be judged by what he did prior to 2020, although he did win the summer race in 2014. The driver of the #10 Stewart-Haas Ford Mustang has received a great ride from this team this year and he's been at his best with the superspeedway package he'll be riding on Saturday. It also doesn't hurt to have Kevin Harvick as a teammate. I have Almirola gaining his 6th top-5 of the season, while I have Kyle Busch finishing in the 14-18 range. I'm backing Aric Almirola over Kyle Busch on Saturday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
3-Unit Play. #970. Take Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 (-105) over Pittsburgh Pirates (Saturday @ 7:10pm est)
Note, we have a 7*NBA Selection today at 9pm today and we are +8500 on the year in the NBA and we go for our 4th straight MLB Winner as we are already at +3900 on the year in Baseball. The Pirates were indeed demolished yesterday 1-9 but this team has had the Brewers number for some time so the Brewers got some revenge and took their frustration out yesterday and I think they will take more of their anger out today. They had a hitter's only meeting and got their act together a bit with 4 homeruns in their last game, and with Anderson on the mound, the former Athletic, he is bound to come through for this team once again as he is 3-1 with a 2.73 era lifetime against the Pirates as well. Brewers start rolling and win once again today and are likely to get it rolling in a big way to make the playoff push.
7-Unit Play. #705. Take Over 223 Portland vs. LA Lakers (Saturday @ 9pm est)
Note, we go for our 4th straight MLB Winner as we are already at +3900 on the year in Baseball. Yes, no Damian and we are aware of that and in fact, we actually think the Blazers might cover this game because there is no Dame - but we will go with the Over as we suspect with no driving presence in this team, it is going to be a lot of outside shots and we do suspect that McCollum and Melo will likely have a big game here. We suspect that there will be a lot fight and energy in this team to avoid getting blownout like the last game when Dame left and combine that with the Lakers bench coming in late to score their fair share of buckets, look for this game to be surprisingly high scoring here even without Dame. Look for a very fast paced game as the Blazers will run, run, run and this game likely goes over the posted total today as the Blazers for them to pick up offense here, they have to run and take the first open good shot they can find frankly. Game likely goes over.

3-Unit Play. #17. Take Under 5 Goals (-110) Philadelphia vs. NY Islanders (Thursday @ 7pm est)
We roll with the Under here between these two teams because it is hard to imagine the Islanders getting down 0-3 as they already changed goalies the last time that happened so the gauntlet is out on what performance is expected. This is a Philly team that is likely to play great defense today as well as this is the rubber game so they can ill afford to get down further in this series and combine that with New York's terrible defense last game, look for this game to likely go under the posted total. So, in the end of the day, it is hard to imagine these Islanders giving up 3 goals to start off the game immediately, they were the better team franky in the last game and I suspect after the poor first period, the fact they played so great the last two periods, I think will work in their favor and carry over here as this game likely goes under.
