My theory heading into the 2020 season is that the lack of an offseason is going to have a greater impact on offenses than defenses. So much of offense is based on repetition and knowing what to do and when. Offenses will be a bit behind to start the season, which will lead to sloppier games. So I'm taking the Under here. The fact the Under is 18-14-1 when USM is favored at home under Jay Hopson doesn't hurt my confidence, nor does the fact the Under is 8-3 in South Alabama's last 11 as a dog.

The Nuggets are riding high after coming back from a 3-1 deficit against Utah. But now they have to play a well-rested Clippers team. Denver is worn down both physically and mentally, so expect a letdown here. Los Angeles will welcome back Patrick Beverley. With a healthy and a solid bench, they are going to spread the floor and make the Nuggets defense work hard on every possession. That is going to take a toll on them late. Denver had just one day off to recuperate.

The Celtics have dominated the Raptors this year. Toronto shot horribly in Game 2 and must be better in the most important game of this series. The Raptors were 36 of 90 from the floor, including 11 of 40 from beyond the arc. The Celtics were 32-76 from the field and 15 of 38 on threes. The Raptors will have to do a better job drawing fouls and on defensive rebounding if they are going to have a chance. It’s hard to see Toronto dropping three straight. The Raptors are 17-5-1 ATS their last 23 games following an ATS loss.

The Canucks were very lucky winners in Game 5 after being outshot 44-17. Thatcher Demko was the 15th netminder to make his first start in an elimination game and win. Vancouver is crazy not to start him and that’s why the Knights are the play. The Canucks are mistakenly going back to Jacob Markstrom. Las Vegas is 9-1 their last 10 games after scoring two goals or less in their previous outing. The Knights do not want a Game 7. Marc-Andre Fleury should start, and he hasn't lost in regulation to the Canucks since '08. Play Vegas -1.5 at +110.
