Tuesday NBA Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Miami and Boston at 6:30 pm et on Tuesday.
I'll back the 'under' as the Heat and Celtics open up the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday evening. The last time these two teams met was back in early August and the result was a 112-106 Heat victory. We've seen scoring decrease significantly as the playoffs have gone on, and I certainly expect to see a much different level of defensive intensity than what we saw in that "regular season" contest last month. The Heat are well rested and will look to set the tone for this series with a strong performance in Game 1 but it's worth noting that they rank 27th in the league in pace rating. While Miami can shoot with the best of them (ranking T7th in FG%) I don't believe they want to trade points with the explosive Celtics scorers all night long. There's a lot of familiarity at play here and I believe that lends itself to a relatively low-scoring affair. Take the under (8*).
