Wednesday 9/16/20 Free Plays / Trends / Betting Info / Etc
Wednesday free play will be the Braves on the Run Line over the Orioles.
After getting walloped 14-1 on Monday night at Camden Yards, the Braves were able to restore order on Tuesday with their 5-1 win over the Orioles.
Look for them to pick up another 2 runs or better win over Baltimore tonight as Cole Hamels will make his Atlanta debut this Wednesday evening.
Hamels last pitched in a game last September, so I do not expect him to be working deep into the night tonight, but if he can go out there and give Atlanta 4 or 5 solid innings I feel pretty sure the Braves bats can chase Keegan Akin out of this game with a barrage of offense.
Akin started the season out of the bullpen and will make just his 4th start of the year tonight. After looking sharp in his first pair of starts - 2 runs, neither earned in 9-plus innings worked - the wheels lost a little air his last time out as he allowed 4 runs on 3 hits and did not get out of the first inning against the Yankees.
Atlanta has some bats - Acuna, Freeman, Ozuna, Swanson - that are capable of making life rough for Akin.
Stick with the sticks of Atlanta to win this game by more than 2 runs.
Wednesday night, going to look for the Yankees bats to continue to connect and score runs as New York once again lands Over the total in their game with the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Yankees are riding a 6 game winning streak and are fresh off scoring 20 runs last night against Toronto pitching. The Bronx Bombers have come up with 48 runs during their winning tear and no reason to think tonight the scoring simply stops.
Tanner Roark goes for the Jays and his season ERA of 5.60 suggests the Yanks could well get to 8 or 9 runs tonight by themselves. Roark was lifted in his lone start against New York last week after allowing 2 runs on 2 hits in just 4 innings of work.
The Blue Jays have played 3 of their last 4 and 6 of their last 9 games Over the total.
Gerrit Cole got back on track his last time out, but his career ERA versus the Jays is over 4.
Count on there being enough runs in this game for it to land Over the total.
