My pick in this race is CATLIKE. Has performed strongly recently in sprint races, posting a nifty 51 avg speed fig. Parker will probably be able to get this mare to break out early for this event. The speed rating of 58 from her most recent race looks respectable in here. CUBBIE BEAR - Over time, this handler has a very good ROI at this distance/surface. Could best this field based on the Equibase speed fig - 53 - of her last race. BOURBON BLUSH - Her 53 average has this mare with among the most respectable Equibase Speed Figures for this event.

JOOPSTER - Taking a big drop in Equibase class figure points from his Aug 29th race at Charles Town. Based on that info, I will give this horse the advantage. Ranked at the top in EPS (earnings per start). Another notice that this horse has class. LATE CALLER - The last time I saw this horse was at Charles Town in a race with a class rating of 82. Dropping drastically in class rating this time puts him in a solid position in this event. I am keen on that latest race on August 28th at Charles Town where he finished fifth. ICE KAUFY - Carlisle drops him down to this class level. You don't need too much more handicapping knowledge to figure that this one should run well at this level. Always watch out for the longer priced equine when a trainer has an 'uncoupled' entry in a race. I just may give this one a chance. Should rebound off last race where he did run out of the money, but was within 5 lengths at the wire.

Thursday's free play will be the same as Tuesday's and Wednesday's and that is to go with the Yankees and the Blue Jays to conclude their regular season series with yet another Over in Buffalo.

Last night the Jays were the team that took it Over the total all by themselves as they scored 14 runs to make it 6 straight season series Overs and Overs played in 7 of the 9 games contested thus far.

For the Yankees they have landed Over in 8 of their last 9 games, while Toronto enters with Overs played in 8 of their last 11 contests.

Doesn't really matter who is pitching, does it as the bats have been making plenty of noise this week.

Both teams have proven they can get their licks in against the opposing hurler, so just stay the course and play the Over tonight in Buffalo.
