I won with Tulane when these teams faced each other last season. Here's an excerpt of what I said prior to that game: "The Green Wave have a lot going for them here. They're off an absolute blowout (58-6) of Missouri State. That lopsided game allowed them to rest starters in the second half, preparing for this one. It was also at home, meaning no travel for the short week. On the other hand, Houston is off an emotional and hard-fought loss against Washington State. The Cougars left it all on the field for that one and may well experience a letdown because of. Note that they're 4-9 ATS the past couple of seasons, off an ATS cover, 0-1 ATS when off an ATS cover where the team lost SU as an underdog. Tulane is 9-4 ATS over the years, off a home blowout win of 28 or more. The home team has had the advantage in this series of late. Expect that to be the case again this evening..."
Things set up much differently this season. Houston, instead of coming off an emotional loss, is fired up to finally play its first game of the season. The Cougars are also hungry to avenge last season's loss. As I pointed out last season, the home team has had the advantage in the series of late. The last two games here saw Houston win by scores of 48-17 in 2018 and 30-18 in 2016. Consider laying the points.

My math model only favors Houston by 5.67 points in this game and the Cougars are a money-burning 3-8 ATS in their last eleven games versus teams with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games as favorites.
