Dropping drastically in class figure in today's event puts her in a solid position in this race. This filly should be in tip-top shape, this far into her form cycle. Getting a break of 5 pounds from last race at Thistledown. She should make the most of this advantage.

NEXT AFFAIR - The morning line odds on this gelding are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of trainer Marr. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. Lone speed horses can be tough to run down. Here's a lone front-runner facing sluggish sorts today. This horse has shown the class ability to win at different tracks. Making the move from Albuquerque for today's event, I have to believe he's ready to run. SHINING SOURCE - You'll be generating money right and left by turning your racing money onto this rider/trainer combination. Finished out of the top three last out at Albuquerque, but was within 5 lengths of the winner. Opening at 10/1 makes me think he's got a chance. THUNDER DOME - This gelding's last speed rating is good enough to triumph here, I'll bet on him back again this time. Handicapping information show this thoroughbred with three improving speed ratings. Laviolette should be on a live horse in this event.

EFFORT N RESULTS - No early speed in this event to help this come from behinder's dreams at winning. Should probably pass on this young horse, he hasn't had enough experience to win this kind of event. Finished first in his most recent race with a somewhat easily forgotten speed fig. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to triumph after that in this field. SUNSCREEN - Based on the pace scenario in this race, this horse doesn't fit in here. With a single front-runner and this animal having to race from behind, he sure has a tough assignment.
