MAKEOURDAY - I like this gelding a lot here. He shows a lot of consistency, finishing in the money frequently. This front-runner should benefit from this race's shorter distance. This gelding has been posting some excellent workout times.

CYCLONE DAN - You always figure that this animal has a shot to be victorious, but he falls short most of the time. NORM'S PLACE - If you keep betting these sort of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be dissatisfied regularly. Improbable that the speed figure he earned on October 11th will hold up in this race. SERAPPY G - Didn't do a whole lot last time out. Probably won't make a winning move in today's event. No good fortune for this vulnerable equine in a sprint event over the last couple of months tells me that this gelding is in a thorny circumstance

My pick in this race is HOT SOUP and the potential return justifies the dangerous nature of the long odds. Is a solid choice - given the 82 Equibase Speed Figure from his most recent race. Has been running admirably and has among the strongest speed in the race for today's distance. STAR RACER - Change in Lasix (with second time Lasix) may be the difference to a turnaround. Must be carefully examined based on the quite good Equibase speed fig recorded in the last contest. LUCAS MCCAIN - Looks quite good for the conditions of this race today, showing solid figs in dirt sprint races recently. The Lasix change (with second time Lasix) may spark a reversal of fortune for this gelding.

Has the best in the field for this dist-surf. I believe the addition of the 'shades' today will help this gelding focus his attention on racing.
