In normal circumstances, App State is at least 14 points better than Arkansas State, but the Mountaineers haven't played in 26 days -- longest in-season time between games in school history -- because of a COVID-19 outbreak that also shut down practices. A handful of guys are listed as questionable due to the virus; the school doesn't have to give updates. A-State is awful defensively, but coach Blake Anderson fired his coordinator and another assistant on that side of the ball following last Thursday's 59-52 win over Georgia State. Maybe the new DC can turn things around. App State is 0-4 ATS in its past four as a favorite so we'll back the Red Wolves.

There are six NFL teams that average ‘UNDER’ 330 yards per game this year and two of them are featured tonight, the Giants and Eagles. The only time the Giants score any significant amount of points is when they get turnovers. Check this out: In the three games the G-Men have only received one or zero takeaways they have 16, 9, and 9 points for a total of 34 or 11.3 per game. In the three games they have forced at least two turnovers the ‘Big Blue” has scored 13, 34, and 20 for a total of 67 or 22.3 a contest. Certainly Carson Wentz is capable of turnovers. But have had strung together consecutive games scoring 28 against Baltimore and 29 versus Pittsburgh. The Ravens and Steelers are two of the better defenses in the league and likely in the top five if not higher. The Eagles tonight are minus tight end Zach Ertz and running back Miles Sanders but they do get back tackle Lane Johnson and WR DeSean Jackson. The Giants come off a narrow 20-19 win over Washington when the “Football Team” failed on a 2-point conversion. But it should be mentioned that Washington had a 337-240 edge in total yards. The Giants are really bad offensively without Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepard. Plus tonight WR C.J. Board is out while WR Darius Slayton is questionable. Slayton is the #1 target for Daniel Jones with 25 catches at 16.2 yards per reception. He also has caught the only three TD passes thrown by Jones this season. The Giants are #31 in total offense, #30 in rushing, and #30 in passing. The problem is the strength New York might be their defensive line. They are #12 in total defense and #8 versus the run. Philly really figures to struggle rushing without Sanders because the #1 back tonight might be Boston Scott with 67 yards. They can try a few wrinkles with Jalen Hurts or some trick plays utilizing him. For whatever reason Corey Clement doesn’t appear to be getting much playing time these days. The Giants are #9 in QB sacks but Philly did a decent job protecting Wentz against the Ravens, who were #2 in sacks entering last week. This spread will ultimately be decided tonight by Carson Wentz. Will he be effective against a decent NYG defensive line or will he throw picks and commit possible fumbles? It’s really hard to say. The Eagles are #4 in sacks but DEAD LAST in protection as Wentz is running for his life. That figures to be the case tonight with a limiting rushing attack. I just can’t lay points with this team. The Birds are 10-0 ‘UNDER’ with Coach Pederson at home after they have lost 2/3 games. However Daniel Jones has 32 turnovers in 18 career starts. The G-men are 15-3 ATS in their last 18 tries as a road underdog. I’ll go ‘UNDER’ 45 as a 3* regular with a small 3* teaser of NYG +11 and ‘UNDER’ 50 1/2. Philly on a 4-12 ATS run as a home favorite (0-2 this year). If there was ever a game predicated on mistakes, this might be it
