UNDER 61.5
MIZZOU @ FLA | 10/31 | 7:30 PM EDTYESTERDAY 12:36 PM
The Gators will be a little bit rusty after the COVID-19 shutdown, and Missouri’s offense took a step back last week now that the book is out on how to defend quarterback Connor Bazelak. This game will start out ultra-sloppy, which should make the Under a virtual lock.

TEXAS @ OKLAST | 10/31 | 4:00 PM EDTYESTERDAY 12:35 PM
The Cowboys’ defense has been unreal on third downs, allowing opponents to move the chains just 19.3% of the time (11 for 57), and tops the Big 12 in red-zone touchdown percentage at 44.44% (4 of 9). That’s all a team needs to be in order to be successful in that conference. Both teams will try to grind it out as much as possible, which will send it under the total.
RICE +1.5
RICE @ USM | 10/31 | 3:00 PM EDT6:49 AM
The Owls played their first game of the year last week versus Middle Tennessee State, a team that was playing its seventh game. Rice fell behind early but fought back to tie the game before missing two short field goals in overtime. Rice QB Mike Collins, a TCU Transfer, had a solid first start. Southern Miss is 1-4 straight up and 1-4 ATS, with a defense that has allowed 31 points or more in all five games.

BOISE -14
BOISE @ AF | 10/31 | 6:00 PM EDT6:47 AM
The Broncos got off to a great start with a 42-13 win over Utah State with QB Hank Bachmeier having a big game. Head coach Bryan Harsin is in his seventh year and is coming off his best season at Boise State, going 12-2 last year. The Broncos return eight offensive players and 12 defensive player with seven or more starts. Air Force suspended starting QB Donald Hammond (5 points) during the summer, and he has since transferred. The Falcons will be without their top two running back and three offensive lineman, including NFL-caliber guard Nolan Laufenberg (2 pt loss).

MISS @ VANDY | 10/31 | 4:00 PM EDTYESTERDAY 2:16 PM
Vandy has scored a measly 26 points in three games. Ole Miss rolls out of bed and puts up that amount before brushing its teeth. Rule of thumb: Take the team that scores almost at will versus the team that pleads for points. The Commodores have not suited up since Oct. 10, partly because of a personnel shortage owing to Covid-19, and likely will be shy of players. Rebels coach Lane Kiffin is finally paying attention to defense. He shifted three players from offense to shore up the oft-punctured unit.

SJST -13.5
NMEX @ SJST | 10/31 | 7:00 PM EDTYESTERDAY 2:14 PM
The Lobos finally get a game in, but not at home as originally scheduled. Their delayed debut has been shifted to San Jose because of coronavirus concerns. Not an ideal situation to begin fixing the worst pass defense in FBS last season. The Spartans have played just once but allowed just one touchdown, so QB Tevaka Tuioti is unlikely to produce enough points for the visitors to make up for the leaky pass D. The Lobos have not won straight-up since 10 games ago and have covered in two of the last nine away dates.

ND -20
ND @ GATECH | 10/31 | 3:30 PM EDTYESTERDAY 2:11 PM
The lone conceivable explanation for this too-low spread is the notion that Notre Dame will divert its attention to Clemson next weekend. Otherwise, the ingredients for a lopsided outcome apply. The Irish wield a big-play offense, and Tech allows extra-large gains. The Irish have covered in four consecutive roadies, while the Yellow Jackets have just two ATS triumphs in the last dozen home gigs. In its four defeats, Tech has permitted 49, 37, 48 and 73 points. The Irish have the playoffs on their minds, so they are unlikely to step off the gas.
