PLAY THIS AS A 5% (AT LEAST) play this week as MACtion is baaaaaaaaaack baby!
This line is the most nuts line I have seen this season….maybe as far back as a couple seasons…..
YES…Akron hasn't won a football contest in MORE than 2 calendar years….I think roughly Halloween of 2018. The next time the Zips win a game will be Tom Arth's first victory at his “new” gig, taking over after going just 9-13 at Chattanooga in 2 seasons….but with strong ties to the community and coaching John Carroll of DIII ball.
Akron returns it's QB and all main WR pieces…while transferring in Cole Gest from IU to likely be the starting RB. In fact, they return 90% of the “production" they had on offense from 2019…no matter the fact they did attempt to set football back decades each week they played…going 0-12 and just a 4.0 yards per play average. However, what on EARTH did WMU do (besides lose a TON of key pieces on offense- including Wassink at QB & Bellamy at RB)…sure they have the advantage returning many solid pieces on the line, but I mean 18 points for a battle in the trench victory is RIDICULOUS…if you ask me?
I rate this game in the range of 10 or 11, but even at that!….I had planned to play the Zips on the moneyline PERIOD as I think they can absolutely win this game!
Mark my words….this is the nuttiest line of the season and I think Akron REALLY does have what it takes to win half the games they play in MAC this season!
