    Brian Nadeau's Daily Picks

    Parx Racing - Race #1
#4 Kubie Snacks Price player was facing better at Pim on debut and then tried the Tapeta at Parx, so this is a big drop off that unveiling, and he's now going two turns as well; look out.
#6 Peyton Elizabeth The chalk will be bet hard off a pair of in-the-money finishes, though neither was all that fast or threatening, at very shorts odds as well; making her prove it on top.
35 Bravo Regina Logical sort has run well in her last two and got the two-turn test out of the way last time, though she too is slow on figures, and will be overbet as well; underneath only.
Race Summary You won't see that 6-1 ML on the pick, though even half that seems fair, as there's no one to fear here and her debut was as sharp as any of their's on figures, so play her to win and place, and especially to kick off the early Pk4 as well, as she seems to have found the right group for a breakthrough.
    Parx Racing - Race #5
#6 Charly's Charm Stalker has been facing state-bred allowance runners and middling, and while this might be a tougher group, it's also loaded with speed; upset special.
#7 Freedom Passage The chalk will get first run and has posted two big figures off the Ness claim, but she may get fried on the hot chase behind all the speed; second-best.
#5 Like a Pro Stretch runner cuts back, which may be a problem, but all the pace will flatter her style, which could lead to a strong late run at big odds; exotics appeal.
Race Summary Pace makes the race and there's a ton of it here, so give the pick a look in all the slots, and especially to kick off the middle Pk4 as well, since a win would add value to the sequence right off the bat, and she's going to have a big chance will all the speed signed up.
    Parx Racing - Race #9
#1 Juluca Sheppard homebred was a decent 5th at the level last time, drew perfectly, and should be tracking wat could be a possible speed duel; look out.
#8 Slingin Sammy B Versatile sort ran off on the lead last time and aired, and did well to draw outside the inside speed, but she could get in a tussle early; tread lightly.
#4 Dantastic NJ-bred was in too tough in a state-bed stakes last time but the MSW win two-back was strong, and a repeat puts her in the mix here; very playable.
Race Summary The price will be right on the 1, and the post and potential race flow may be too, so give her a look in all the slots, and especially the late Pk4 as well, as she could fall through the wagering cracks, which means a win would add some value to the sequence.

      Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

      Mountaineer - Race #4
#1 Hartford Thomas Showed some life last out with similar in the slop, and the guy outside of him might take enough cash to leave him at a playable price.
#2 Disciple Looks like the one to beat, but he hasn't been a serious win threat late in most of his races, and the price is likely to be short.
#8 Rule Follower Caught a runaway winner last time out, and he'll try the dirt for the first time here for a barn that tends to do good work locally.
Race Summary Hartford Thomas is worth a look at something like the 6/1 ML price, as his form has been heading in the right direction in recent starts, and he is fast enough to find a spot near the front from the fence.
      Mountaineer - Race #7
#6 Untilwemeetagain Might get overlooked on the board despite a handful of pretty nice recent races, and he's tactical enough to find a good spot in the early going.
#8 Shy Guy He really has never run a bad one, and he has a pretty reliable finishing kick and classes up nicely with this group.
#3 Forevamo Form hasn't quite been the same in the last 18 months or so, but he might find this group soft enough to wake him up a little bit.
Race Summary Untilwemeetagain needs his very best stuff here, but the price is probably going to be fair with a couple of heavy hitters lined up in Shy Guy and Forevamo
      Mountaineer - Race #8
#3 Bebopaleon The form has tailed off through the last two barn changes, so maybe this one will give him a chance to wake up for the new connections.
#5 Roskilde The one to beat with some sharp sprint speed, but he was beaten by the top choice when they met earlier this year.
#4 Appealing Yankee Think last time out was the right time to try and get him when he was 15/1 with some bounce-back potential, as now he's going to be a much shorter price with far less upside.
Race Summary Bebopaleon is worth a price look on the move to the new barn in hopes that an additional change of scenery will allow him to snap out of a recent slump.

        Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

        The Meadows - Race #2
#6 SUPREME DUMPLING Time off should serve her well, not much to beat in here.
#8 SALTWATER BLUE Hit board in 4 of last 5 starts locally, starts outside.
#4 ABILENE Will be underlay with Palone but won’t be a surprise if she wins.
Race Summary Supreme Dumpling starts fresh after a taxing campaign at the fairs. She lost to a repeat winner when last seen and her numbers translate well in this field. Play 6-4 and 6-8 exactas.
        Dayton Raceway - Race #4
#4 SWEET TEASE Sustained first-over rally, only to be repelled by the winner.
#6 CYCLONE SPIRIT WIND Can make good use of her speed with first-time Lasix.
#2 KRISTA’S HILL Chased soft fractions, held second after winner passed by.
Race Summary Sweet Tease advanced steadily into lively pace but couldn’t get past the stubborn winner. She should be able to make amends in this field. Play 4-2 and 4-6 exactas.
        Yonkers - Race #1
#4 BRUSH N CRUSH Can upstage recent in-the-money finishes with move forward off latest.
#2 GABBY TABBY Far back from post 8 but close up throughout in prior two starts.
#1 HURRIKANEMYSHANNON Sprung 33-1 shocker under similar conditions.
Race Summary Brush N Crush inched closer to the favorites on the final turn but couldn’t match strides in the stretch. She looms a major danger in this field despite 0-21 record. Play 4-1 and 4-2 exactas.

          Jerry Shottenkirk's Daily Picks

          Indiana Grand - Race #3
#5 Xtrema Has no grass experience but has been two turns once, and it produced a sixth-place finish in the G1 Alcibiades at Keeneland; should have no problem with the turf or distance and is the classiest of them here.
#8 Pharoah's Gold Was up in time against maiden-claimers at Keeneland and has been two turns on turf; has the speed to carve out a good trip.
#9 Yogurt Broke her maiden in a Keeneland sprint during the summer and was unsuccessful in stakes thereafter; could get back to good form on this drop.
Race Summary Xtrema ran with the top fillies at Keeneland and should be able to improve going long on turf; expect a big effort.
          Indiana Grand - Race #6
#2 Wilshire Diamond Is a much better runner on turf and comes in off a maiden score; sharp in his last two and can run them down here.
#3 Tom's Last General Was second in two straight at Ellis during the summer and most recently was third on dirt here; has the speed to be a factor throughout.
#5 Allen Was third in his last two and can improve on his only turf start, which was against company at Ellis; improved lately and can run with these.
Race Summary Wilshire Diamond is fresh off a maiden win and will be tough if he runs back to either of his last two races.
          Indiana Grand - Race #11
#6 To Fat to Fish Can get a good stalking trip just off the pace and can make a strong late run; one to hold off.
#1 Wiladene Was fourth in an allowance race last out and she should be a big player on the class drop.
#2 Hitched Has good speed running long and can put up the battle throughout this one.
Race Summary To Fat to Fish has turned into a late runner and will get a good pace to chase.

Event: (213229) Patriotas Boyaca at (213230) La Equidad
            Sport/League: SOC
            Date/Time: November 10, 2020 2PM EST
            Play: La Equidad -129
I was born in Queens, New York but my father is Colombian, so I keep tabs on their domestic league since one of the passions I allow myself as far as rooting for teams is la Seleccion - Colombia's National Team. I cheer for the USMNT too, but we're only now starting to cultivate the type of players capable of competing on the global stage. Colombia's got a nice head start. Most of the top players that eventually get the call up end up in Europe after starting out in the country's domestic league, the Categoria Primera A. It was known as the Liga Aguila after a beer sponsor until last year and is now known as the Liga BetPlay Dimayor, which we appreciate for obvious reasons. Shout out to BetPlay.
As far as the free play is concerned, we'll look to go 13-1-1 on this current run by fading a team that would be in danger of relegation to the Primera B if not for an agreement that no team would be demoted this year due to COVID-19. Patriotas is awful. It sits at 19th out of 20 teams and has scored a league-low eight goals over 18 matches, winning just twice. Cucuta has as many points (14) but sits in last due to goal differential. Don't be surprised if that changes here since I think LaEquidad, which is tied for fifth in goals scored, handles business by multiple tallies at home.
La Equidad is sitting in eighth, tied with Once Caldas in points but ahead on goal differential. The top-eight in the Liga BetPlay advance to the knockout stage automatically while 9-20 go into a playoff group stage, so style points matter here as the regular season dwindles to its final two matches. Veterans Stalin Motta and Uruguay's Matias Mier lead this group, but young forward Pablo Sabbaq is dynamic and should make the difference here. Ride La Equidad on the three-way money line to defeat Patriotas on Tuesday afternoon.

Race 5 - Maiden Optional Claiming - 5.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $5900 Class Rating: 61

FOR MAIDENS, THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD. THREE YEAR OLDS, 124 LBS.; OLDER, 126 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $20,000.

                    RECOMMENDED CHOICES
                    # 1 KING OF WISHES 9/2
                    # 2 OFFICER OF WAR 2/1
                    # 5 HEAVY HAUL 5/1
I have to consider KING OF WISHES here. Has performed admirably as of late in sprint races, posting a nifty 61 avg speed fig. Overall the Speed Figures of this animal look strong in this outing. Look for a solid pace improvement from this equine who enters with second time Lasix today. OFFICER OF WAR - He has been moving solidly recently while recording strong Speed Figures. Conditioner has sharp win rate (17 percent) at this distance and surface. HEAVY HAUL - Should compete solidly in the early speed clash which bodes well with this group. Must be considered in this race if only for the very good Equibase Speed Fig earned in the last race.

                      Parx Racing - Race #10 - Post: 4:28pm - Maiden Claiming - 8.3 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $17,000 Class Rating: 60

                      Rating:

                      #4 LEFTATTHEALTAR (ML=15/1)

LEFTATTHEALTAR - This race horse should be rumbling down the lane.

                      Vulnerable Contenders: #11 OUI MADAME (ML=3/1), #3 R AWESUM BETTY (ML=7/2), #14 PRINCESS MARISOL (ML=9/2),

OUI MADAME - Registered a mediocre speed figure in the last race in a $10,000 Maiden Claiming race on Oct 21st. Unlikely to see an improved performance off of that number. R AWESUM BETTY - Improbable that the speed figure she earned on September 23rd will be good enough in this clash. PRINCESS MARISOL - Difficult to put any dough on this filly on the top end. Likes to end up on the board though.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Bet on #4 LEFTATTHEALTAR to win if we can get at least 1/1 odds
                      EXACTA WAGERS: None

Race 7 - Maiden Claiming - 8.0f on the Dirt. Purse: $14000 Class Rating: 49

                        RECOMMENDED CHOICES
                        # 9 GO GERTIE GO 30/1
                        # 2 STARGAZER LILY 4/5
                        # 7 DERBY PRINCESS 6/1
GO GERTIE GO is the strongest wager in this contest and the potential return justifies the hazardous nature of the long odds. The odds could be right on this horse. Opposing a much less demanding bunch than last time out. STARGAZER LILY - Will most likely compete admirably in the early speed clash which bodes well with this field. This filly has been constatntly running well in her latest outings. DERBY PRINCESS - With a very good 50 speed rating last time out, will unquestionably be a factor in this affair. With better than average trips to the winner's circle, Parker ought to have this mare in excellent position to win the outing.

                          Zia Park - Race #8 - Post: 3:09pm - Claiming - 5.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $5,500 Class Rating: 64

                          Rating:

                          #6 SICULO (ML=8/1)
                          #4 PACIFIC OCEAN (ML=4/1)
                          #3 YOU BUG ME (ML=6/1)

SICULO - Was in a $10,000 Claiming race at Zia Park last race out. That clash had a class rating of 80 and he is moving down in this race. A certain serious competitor. The improved speed figs over the last 3 races is strong. Fincher drops him in this affair in great shape. When a horse drops at least five pounds (like this one is), you must take notice. It may not seem like much, but certainly could make the difference. PACIFIC OCEAN - Lambert drops him down to this class level. You don't need too much more data to think this horse should be one of the top contenders at this level. Juarez and Lambert perform well when they join forces. It's hard to beat a +78 ROI for a rider and trainer. YOU BUG ME - He must like the track here. He just won over the track after shipping in. Have to make this colt a serious competitor; he comes off a solid contest on October 12th.

                          Vulnerable Contenders: #11 LOTTA GUSTO (ML=9/2), #5 ETERNAL KINGDOM (ML=5/1), #12 DRIFTERS CHOICE (ML=8/1),

LOTTA GUSTO - Had a tough stretch drive on September 2nd and followed it up with another one. Probably won't see him doing it in today's event. ETERNAL KINGDOM - I find it hard to wager on any racer in a short distance race at 5/1 when he hasn't shown any positive results in sprints in the last 60 days. The speed rating last out doesn't fit very well in this event when I look at the class rating of today's race. Mark this horse as a possibly overvalued contestant. DRIFTERS CHOICE - Usually I need a sprinter to have some recent success in short distance contests in order to back him. Doesn't look inspiring to me after the lack of any sort of closing ability on October 12th.

GUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - PACIFIC OCEAN - A tried and true angle. Take a sprinter in the third and fourth start after a moderate layoff. That's the time when they peak.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Putting our cash on #6 SICULO to win. Have to have odds of at least 5/2 or better though
                          EXACTA WAGERS: 6 with [3,4]
