3% After opening the season 0-2 both of these teams got into the win column last week. Iowa steam rolled Michigan St but Michigan St was coming off that Big win over Michigan so they could of still been celebrating that big win over their arch rival and Iowa took advantage of a flat team. Minnesota dominated a bad Illinois team but I look at this Minnesota offense and I feel they have just too many weapons for Iowa to handle. Minnesota is what I refer to as a 200 Club member meaning they run and pass for 200 or more yards I love teams that are balanced like that and they are a home Underdog is just too much to pass up. My numbers have Minnesota winning 30-23. TAKE MINNESOTA as my 3% FRIDAY BEST BET.

Florida International will host Florida Atlantic in Conference USA action on Friday night. Several COVID-19 related postponements has kept the Panthers from building on-field continuity. However, FIU will have opportunities tonight against a Florida Atlantic team that is averaging just 16 points per game. Grab FIU.

It's been really good to see a strong defensive effort this season from FAU. The Owls have really done a great job of minimizing opponents' opportunities inside the red zone. FIU has had issues moving the ball recently. While the Panthers' defense is also playing well, their offense has taken a bit of a step back. I like the better, more consistent offense in this rivalry game, and that belongs to FAU.

Iowa travels to face Minnesota in a Big Ten battle on Friday. The Hawkeyes are coming off a complete game in which they blew out Michigan State, 49-7. In fact, the Hawkeyes could easily be undefeated at 3-0, if not for poor second halves against Purdue and Northwestern. That’s devalued the Golden Gophers, who have had poor numbers from oddsmakers in their first three games, in this matchup. Grab Minnesota and the points.

You might be under the impression Iowa solved its offensive problems last week when you see it beat Michigan State 49-7. It didn't. The Hawkeyes were helped by a couple of touchdowns on special teams and defense, and the offense continues to lack any explosivity. The Hawkeyes are scoring only 1.83 points per possession, which ranks 94th nationally. Minnesota's defense will help them find some success, but I have a hard time trusting bad offenses to cover as road favorites.

Minnesota got back on the winning track after blowing out Illinois. What has been the most consistent thing for the Gophers this year has been their offense's ability to score. Unfortunately, their defense has been a liability. Last weekend's game against Illinois gave you evidence that they are capable. Without Iowa's offense being as threatening as others they've faced, it should make for a repeat performance.
