50% chance of rain in Seattle early tonight but wind shouldn?t be a factor. The key here is much like Arizona versus Buffalo last week, we have a one-on-one matchup again of two of the 6-7 teams in the league each owning a mobile quarterback. What a difference that makes in this league these days. As mentioned last week with the ?OVER? pick with the Cardinals and Bills, the ?OVER? has been hitting 80-90% all season when you have a game featuring two quarterbacks with mobility and like to run. At the top of that list is Kyler Murray. In terms of MVP voting I have Murray only behind Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes. Two weeks ago Murray hit better than 80 percent of his passes with a 3-0 ratio against the Miami defense in a game the Cardinals lost at home! Facing the league?s #32 and DEAD LAST DEFENSE (total and versus pass), you have to expect Murray to have a huge game tonight especially with Seattle corners Shaquill Griffin, Neiko Thorpe, and Quinton Dunbar all OUT with injury. Murray is on pace right now for 4,260 passing yards with 32 touchdowns and another 1,086 rushing yards with 16 scores. That is nuts! The Seahawks with this defense can?t win by margin. Every game is precarious for the most part this year and I feel the burden on Wilson has been just too much. Obviously a loss here really hurts the Seahawks, who would be two games behind Arizona in the NFC West with I think six games left because they would have been swept the season series 2-0. That?s tough. The problem I have in backing Arizona is a short week off a miracle hail-Mary win, facing an opponent seeking revenge, and possessing a defense that has allowed 30 or more points in three straight weeks. This line is reflecting how much better Arizona is playing at Seattle. But in truth the Cardinals probably should have lost all three of their most-recent games considering two of the wins were over the Hawks by three and last week?s unreal finish by two over Buffalo. Plus all three of those games were at home. Wilson tends to be very good off a loss and excellent when the lights are the brightest (on national television). Hey the Rams are tremendous defensively with a great pass rush and possibly the best corner tandem in the league. There is no embarrassment for Seattle failing to score at least 27-points for the first time this year. Consider this: The week before they put up 34 on Buffalo and had four turnovers. There?s just no way in hell I?m betting against Wilson and I still believe if the Hawks get everybody back on defense they have the best roster in the NFC. The speed at wide receiver is unmatched. Carlos Hyde?s return should help the running game. I like ?OVER? tonight despite the high total. These are two teams that have the big-play capability and capitalize on turnovers as good as any two teams in the league. They obviously each have a QB that can escape the pocket and pick up first downs when coverage is good. This is among the best group of receivers you will see on the field this year. That game-winning catch by Hopkins on Sunday was something to marvel at. I think Wilson can exploit an Arizona secondary that likes taking chances plus are without corner Robert Alford, who never received the appreciation he deserved when in Atlanta. What?s crazy about the first meeting this year is both teams had over 30 first downs. I mean how many times do you see that? 33-31 Seattle and pure insanity! The two QB?s were 69-of-98 for 732 yards. That must have fun game for the corners and safeties. Arizona is coming off 30 or more points in five consecutive games for the first time in franchise history. The Cardinals are 8-0 ?OVER? since 9/20/2015 when on the road and coming off a home game in which they were favored and gained at least 400 yards. Seattle is 9-0 ?OVER? at home since 10/18/2015 coming off a loss in which they allowed 100 or more rushing yards. Seattle also 9-0 ?OVER? since 9/25/2016 when the total is at least 42 and coming off a defeat. Seattle 4-1 ?OVER? in their last five Thursday night home games while Arizona is 6-2 ?OVER? after playing Buffalo and 3-1 ?OVER? on Thursday evenings.

What was impressive about Tulane's win vs Army last week was how disciplined the Green Wave were against the triple option. Throughout the season, Tulane has been able to score. It has been the defense that has limited the Green Wave from winning more games. Tulsa, while solid defensively, tends to start games slowly. We should be in for a back-and-forth game that's' much tighter than the point spread.
